Main Distribution Frame. (MDF) is termination frame for outside facility and inter-exchange office equipment at the central office for DS-0 and DSL services.

Basic Maintenance of Service charges apply when the Qwest technician performs work during standard business hours. Overtime Maintenance of Service charges apply when the Qwest technician performs work on a business day, but outside standard business hours, or on a Saturday. Premium Maintenance of Service charges apply when the Qwest technician performs work on either a Sunday or Qwest recognized holiday.
Main Distribution Frame or “MDF” means the primary point at which outside plant facilities terminate within a Wire Center, for interconnection to other telecommunications facilities within the Wire Center.
