Operating Limit definition
Examples of Operating Limit in a sentence
The Parties share a joint Interconnection Reliability Operating Limit (“IROL”) related to transfers on the interconnecting transmission lines between their respective Reliability Coordinator Areas and Balancing Authority Areas.
If the Participating Generator: (1) receives a Schedule which requires operation below the Minimum Operating Limit, and (2) deviates from that Schedule to continue to operate at the Minimum Operating Limit, it will not be subject to any penalties or sanctions as a result of operating at the Minimum Operating Limit.
In a situation where a System Operating Limit (“SOL”) violation exists within the regions of the Parties, or for the next contingency would exist, the Parties will work together as necessary, following good utility practices, and take action in kind as required to address the situation.
In the summer peak case, there were five stability violations that did not meet Ameren voltage recovery criteria and would result in over 1,000 MW of load loss, which, if allowed, would be considered a potential Interconnection Reliability Operating Limit (IROL) within the MISO footprint in accordance with BPM-020 Section L.3.6. All voltage violations seen can be mitigated with load shed per MISO SSR criteria and additionally per WVPA there already exists operating guides to mitigate the known issues.
The Operating Limit shall thereafter either automatically stand reduced to the extent and in the manner provided in clause (b) below or remain constant during the tenure of the Overdraft Facility at the desertion of the Bank.

For purposes of calculating the Biennial Average Real Time High Operating Limit, if Seller reports to ISO-NE a Real-Time High Operating Limit representing an aggregate Real-Time High Operating Limit for the combination of the Facility, the Other Facility and any Additional Facilities, the Biennial Real-Time Operating Limit will represent the equivalent limit determined for the Facility based on the turbine-specific limitations used by Seller to calculate that aggregate Real-Time High Operating Limit.
A failure of the Biennial Average Real-Time High Operating Limit for any two consecutive Contract Years to be at least fifty percent (50%) of the Actual Facility Size, except to the extent excused by (i) a Force Majeure (without affecting Buyer’s right to terminate this Agreement under Section 10.1(c)), (ii) a Catastrophic Failure not caused by a Force Majeure, unless and until such Catastrophic Failure exceeds the duration of the Catastrophic Failure Period or (iii) a Reliability Curtailment.
Real-Time High Operating Limit is the maximum output, in MW, of a Generator Asset that could be achieved, consistent with Good Utility Practice, in response to an ISO request for Energy (including pursuant to Section III.13.6.4 of Market Rule 1), for each hour of the Operating Day, as reflected in the Generator Asset’s Offer Data.
