Accrued Time. Members working the Schedule will annually accrue 104 hours (based on 52 weeks X 2 hours per week) based upon working 2192 hours per year rather than 2088 hours. This accrued time will be used in the following way:
a. Accrued Time will be considered to be Lieu Time only and the members shall not receive monetary reimbursement for it.
b. There will be four (4) Mandatory Training days per year conducted while the member is on duty. Those mandatory training days will be scheduled as an eight (8) hour work day. Four hours of accrued time will be used to supplement each eight hours to make up the twelve hour shift. Since there are four Mandatory Training days per year, 16 hours (4 days x 4 hours) shall be deducted from each officers Accrued Bank at the beginning of the year.
c. Accrued Time shall be used in the calendar year in which it was accrued and cannot be carried over to another year under any circumstances.
d. Use of Accrued Time will be prohibited in the months of June, July and August in each year.
e. As Accrued Time shall not be selected during the months of June, July and August, one additional officer shall be permitted off from January to May and from September to December on Accrued Schedule Time.
f. Officers shall select one complete block off (either 48 or 60 hours) as part of the Annual Leave and Statutory Leave Selection Process which begins September 15th. The selection list will be circulated based on s eniority after annual leave / statutory leave has been selected, at which time the complete block will be selected based on s eniority, utilizing Accrued Time.
g. Staff Sergeants and Sergeants will select their Accrued Time forty-eight (48) or sixty (60) hours in the form of Annual Leave in conjunction with their Annual and Statutory Leave selection ensuring that no more than two Supervisors are off at any one time. Notwithstanding the aforementioned only one Supervisor will be allowed to be off at any one time on Accrued Time.
h. The remaining Accrued Time will be entered into an Accrued Time Bank where members will utilize the time off with their supervisor’s approval and subject to the operational needs of the Service. This Accrued Time Bank will be managed via OSL.
Accrued Time. Accrued time provides for an employee to work on a Saturday and/or Sunday, and in lieu of receiving overtime penalty payments, receive time off in lieu credits equivalent to the penalty time worked. That is, for each of the first three hours worked on a Saturday, the employee receives 1.5 hours of TOIL credits. For subsequent hours worked on Saturday, and for all hours on Sunday, the employee receives 2 hours of TOIL credits for each hour worked. The TOIL credits so accrued may be taken in accordance with clause 28.2 (time off in lieu). Accrued time is available only when offered by ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and generally only in exceptional circumstances.
Accrued Time. The following will be respectively added to, or deducted from the final payment to an Employee on termination:

Any compensatory (T.O.) time accrued at the time of any employee's separation from State service shall be paid off to the employee at the applicable rate in effect at the time of such service separation. Employees who are assigned to work schedules which contain daily tours of eight (8) hours and fifteen (15) minutes shall, upon separation or retirement from state service, have accrued compensatory (T.O.) time pay computed based on a standard eight (8) hour and fifteen (15) minute work day.
Accrued Time. 23.4.1 The outdoor work team working a 9-day fortnightly cycle will consider spreading accrued time throughout the two-week work cycle, Monday to Friday inclusive.
23.4.2 Hours in excess of 76 hours in a two-week working cycle can operate by agreement with a work team and individuals needed to perform additional work. Additional hours above 76 hours in a two-week work cycle in accordance with this subclause and subclause 23.4.3 may by agreement be paid in accordance with clause 38 or be recorded as accrued time, to be taken as leave at mutually agreed times or when work demand is lower.
23.4.3 Approved overtime that is worked will be paid at penalty rates in accordance clause 38 of the agreement, or at the discretion of the Employee may be accrued as TIL at time and a half for time worked.
23.4.4 Employees may, by agreement, work on a Rostered Day Off (or part thereof) and will substitute an alternative Rostered Day Off which will be accrued at time for time.
23.4.5 In recognition of varying service demands and climatic conditions, outdoor Employees may bank up to ten (10) days accrued time subject to obtaining the approval of their manager and subject to any accrued time balance or part balance (8 hours or more) standing to the credit of an Employee being taken with at least one fortnight’s notice or otherwise by agreement with Council.
23.4.6 Unless approved by the CEO, Annual Leave or Long Service Leave must not be taken in preference to accrued time leave when an Employee has an accrued time balance of 8.5 hours or more standing to their credit.
Accrued Time. Accrued time is overtime worked that can be put into a bank to be used at a later time. Payout for every one (1) hour of overtime worked will be credited for time off in the employee’s accrued time bank of one and one-half (1½) hours. Each employee will be able to accrue a maximum of one-hundred (100) hours total time in their accrued time bank. The time accrued must be used during the calendar year it is earned. Any unused accrued time as of December 31st of each year will be paid out of the hourly rate at which it was earned. Accrued time off must be requested by written notice no less than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the date it is to be used. All requests to use accrued time for time off are subject to the approval of the Director of Engineering and Operations and/or their designee.
Accrued Time. Accrued time of 110 hours will be allotted annually to each member working a 12- hour shift schedule. This number will be pro-rated for missed time not including Personal Leave time, annual leave, Stat Time, Accrued Time and lieu time as per policy.
