Adjunct Clause Samples
An Adjunct clause serves as a supplementary provision that adds additional information, conditions, or requirements to the main terms of an agreement. Typically, it clarifies or expands upon specific obligations, such as outlining extra services, specifying timelines, or detailing particular procedures that are not covered in the primary clauses. By including an Adjunct clause, the contract ensures that all relevant details are addressed, reducing ambiguity and helping the parties understand their full range of responsibilities.
Adjunct. The term “Adjunct” as used in this Agreement, shall mean University employees, other than Institute Directors, whose primary appointment is in a non- teaching function but who teach up to six (6) contact hours per academic year on the Rindge campus.
Adjunct. The role of the CAC shall be twofold:
Adjunct. Adjunct faculty members who teach fewer than five (5) credits per semester will be compensated at the rate of five hundred and twenty-five dollars ($525.00) to one thousand four hundred dollars ($1,400.00) per semester credit. Adjunct. Qualifications: A terminal degree and/or high quality teaching of four or more academic years at an accredited higher educational institution and/or the equivalent in non-teaching professional experience in the area of the teaching, as judged by the College, are the preferred basic qualifications.
Adjunct. An adjunct appointment is defined as an appointment for which an individual fulfills teaching, or librarian duties, but which excludes the individual from the recognized bargaining unit. Adjunct appointees shall not teach more than twelve (12) contract hours in the undergraduate curriculum per academic year. An adjunct appointee may teach up to sixteen (16) contract hours per year in the graduate curriculum. Immediate supervisors of faculty shall not be considered adjuncts, but shall not teach more than fourteen (14) hours per academic year.
Adjunct. An instructor not under regular contract with the Yosemite Community College District teaching a full semester will be placed on the certificated adjunct (part-time) hourly salary schedule based on earned collegiate units and prior experience (maximum entry placement, Step 10).
Adjunct. A temporary non-tenure track faculty member hired through an informal process, for whom no tenure-review committee is appointed. Teaches 80 percent or less of a full time load each quarter. Employment in an adjunct faculty position is not applicable toward tenure, and notice of non-renewal is not required. Paid according to Appendix B.

Adjunct. Faculty Members who teach Adult Education courses shall teach eight (8) week sessions as assigned.
Adjunct a. Shall receive hourly compensation consistent with adjunct pay for other courses for teaching the intercollegiate athletic class (10 hours per week x number of weeks of the class x hourly rate)
b. Shall receive a stipend of $3,100 for work done outside of class time during competition and during summer or intersession in preparation for the season. Schedule shall be arranged with the athletic director.
c. Shall receive compensation equal to 52.5 hours pay at the appropriate hourly rate for promotion and recruiting. Sports with combined men’s and women’s teams shall be treated as one team for purposes of promotion and recruiting.
