ARTICLE UNIFORMS. Section as a of Employment The Company agrees that if an employee is required to wear any kind of uniform as a condition of his continued employment, such uniform shall be furnished and maintained by the Company, free of charge, at the standard required by the Company. No employee shall be required to wear a uniform that does not bear the union label. Before employees are requested to wear a uniform by the Company, the Union shall be consulted as to the type and standard. Section Pooling Arrangements for it is further provided that voluntary pooling arrangements for the purchase of or rental of uniforms shall not come within the scope of this Agreement.

ARTICLE UNIFORMS. If and when uniforms are required by the Employer, the Employer agrees to pay a Uniform Allowance of per hour worked. This Uniform Allowance shall be paid to all employees who are requiredto wear such uniformsfor the purchase, laundering and repair of same. Employees shall be permitted to wear uniform style pantsuits. The uniform allowance shall be paid out one time annually. EffectiveApril change quantum by adding one cent per hour or per year for full time employees.

All part time employees not being supplied uniforms in with the above shall receive a uniform allowance of thirty-five dollars ($35) a year. Payments for this allowance shall be paid pursuant to present practise which is 1/12 per month. In the event a part time employee does not work in any given month, no uniform allowance will be paid. The Hospital agrees to supply the Ambulance Attendants and Paramedic with adequate initial clothes (as specified below) when they join the staff of the Hospital and to replace such articles as necessary from time to time. New uniform components will be replaced on receipt of a signed requisition originating from the Ambulance Supervisor. Articles of clothing being replaced will be turned in to the Supervisor before issuance of replacements. Hospital supplied uniforms shall not be worn by Ambulance Attendants or Paramedic except when they are on duty or when they are on standby call. The articles of clothing to be issued consist of: Shirts each Ties each Trousers pairs Parkas each Jackets, summer each Raincoats (nylon shell) each Boots, summer Police Boots pair Boots, Ambulance Boots, winter pair Coveralls, Ministry Issue pair Hats, fur, style each I Note: The hat will be supplied on a one time issue only and the Hospital will not be responsible for the replacement of such hat for any purpose.

ARTICLE UNIFORMS. The EMPLOYER shall furnish and pay for four perma-pressed shirts, winter or summer type, per year to each regular full-time employee. In addition to the above, the EMPLOYER shall furnish and pay for the following equipment for regular full-time employees: One summer hat and one winter hat; One jacket. Two pairs of winter trousers and two pairs of summer trousers; Two black ties. Such uniforms shall remain the property of the EMPLOYER and shall be replaced as needed. In the event an employee fails to bid at the time the opportunity is offered, he may bid thereafter, but only from the vacancies available at the time the employee so bids. If an employee fails bid prior to the date the new assignments are made, such employee will be consi- dered a pool employee. In the event some of these employees elect not to bid, the right to bid shall be extended to other regular full-time truck employees in order of seniority until a maximum of eighty percent of the regular full-time truck employees have bid for assignment. It shall be the employee's responsibility to advise the EMPLOYER in of their run selections should they be absent during the selection period. On the first week of the months following the completion of the bids, employees shall be assigned to the new blocks on which they have bid. Employees who bid for such blocks must be qualified to perform all duties required in the classification in which they bid. Regular full-time employees who are not eligible to bid, those regu- lar full-time employees who are eligible to bid but do not elect to do so, and part-time employees shall compose a pool of unbid employees. ARTICLE UNIFORMS. The Employer agrees to pay one hundred percent (100%)of the cost of uniforms and appropriate coats for employees as required to be worn by employees. The Employer may deduct the cost of uniforms from the last pay of employees who quit or are terminated within six (6) months of their hire should the employee not return the uniform forthwith in reasonable condition.
