Common use of Assignment of Additional Hours Clause in Contracts

Assignment of Additional Hours. (a) Part-time employees who indicate in writing to the Employer that they wish to work additional hours, shall be offered such work, when available, provided they are qualified, trained, and able to perform the required duties. It is understood that such additional hours shall be offered only to the extent that they will not incur any overtime costs to the Employer. Such additional hours shall be allocated on the basis of seniority as follows:
