Available Programs. The Association will notify the District which insurance carriers the employees will be selecting.

Available Programs. All eligible employees along with dependents will be required to participate in the District/Association approved dental and vision insurance programs. Each eligible employee will have the option of participating in a District/Association approved medical insurance program, along with eligible dependents. These programs will be known as the “basic benefits” programs. Payroll deductions will be made for any portion of an eligible employee’s premium which is not paid by the District.

Beginning January 1, 2020, and each year thereafter, the employer agrees to provide the insurance plans, follow employee eligibility rules and provide funding for all bargaining unit members and their dependents as required by state law, the state operating budget and the School Employees’ Benefits’ Board (SEBB). Inclusive of employer funding will be payment of the retire carve-out for all eligible employees. The employer agrees to provide timely information about SEBB insutrance plans to eligible employees during the school year (as required or recomenned by SEBB) and at each open enrollment period. The employer agrees to follow SEBB eligibility rules for employees who are anticipated top work 630 hours or more per school year. The District may offer additional insurance not offered by SEBB amd will provide information to employees regarding such optional insurance annually. (cancer, short term disability, etc.)

Students may choose from among 16 MassTransfer Pathway majors, which currently serve 70% of all students enrolled in Massachusetts public colleges and universities, or from eight additional programs offered by the special mission institutions (Massachusetts College of Art & Design, Massachusetts Maritime Academy).
