Common use of Compensatory Time Off Clause in Contracts

Compensatory Time Off. At the option of the employee and if arranged prior to the assignment, compensatory time may be taken in lieu of authorized overtime payment, in accordance with the provisions of applicable state and federal law. Compensatory time must be granted at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) hours compensatory time for each hour over forty (40) hours worked by full- time overtime-eligible employees and straight time compensatory time for each hour worked over the weekly schedule of less than full-time overtime-eligible employees (up to 40 hours).
