Common use of Daily Guarantee Clause in Contracts

Daily Guarantee. Employees reporting for work on the call of the Employer, except school students reporting for work on school days: the employee's regular rate of pay for the entire period spent at the place of work in response to the call, with a minimum of any one (1) day of: (1) two (2) hours' pay at the employee's regular rate, except where the employee's condition is such that the employee is not competent to perform their duties, or the employee has failed to comply with the Accident Prevention Regulations of the Workers' Compensation Board; and (2) if an employee commences work, four (4) hours' pay at the employee's regular rate shall be paid. (3) School students reporting for work on school days on the call of the Employer: the employee's regular rate of pay for the entire period spent at the place of work in response to the call, with a minimum in any one (1) day of two (2) hours' pay at the employee's regular rate.
