Common use of Employee Access to Files Clause in Contracts

Employee Access to Files. An employee may examine his or her own files during outside of their work shift by appointment one time per year. provided operational needs are met. Review of these files will be in the presence of an Employer representative. An employee will not be required to take leave to review their files. An employee may provide a written rebuttal to any information in the files that he or she considers objectionable. The Employer will, upon request, provide the employee and/or their representative with a complete copy of the employee's file/s within fourteen (14) days of the date of the request. The employee and/or their representative may will be charged at a rate of $0.10 per page for any file copy beyond the first copy requested. A copy of any material to be placed in an employee's personnel file will be provided to the employee. An employee may have documents relevant to his or her work performance placed into his or her personnel file.
