Failure Analysis Clause Samples

A Failure Analysis clause outlines the procedures and responsibilities for investigating and determining the causes of a failure in a product, system, or process. Typically, this clause specifies who is responsible for conducting the analysis, the methods to be used, and the timeframe for completion. For example, if a delivered component malfunctions, the clause may require the supplier to perform a root cause analysis and report findings to the customer. The core function of this clause is to ensure that failures are systematically examined, enabling corrective actions to prevent recurrence and clarifying accountability between parties.
