General Exclusions and Limitations Clause Samples

The "General Exclusions and Limitations" clause defines the boundaries of liability and responsibility within an agreement by specifying what is not covered and setting caps on potential claims. Typically, this clause lists certain types of damages, losses, or circumstances—such as indirect damages, force majeure events, or losses beyond a monetary threshold—that are excluded from coverage or compensation. By clearly outlining these exclusions and limitations, the clause helps manage risk for the parties involved and prevents disputes over unforeseen or excessive liabilities.
