Holiday Falls on Regularly Scheduled Work Day Clause Samples

The "Holiday Falls on Regularly Scheduled Work Day" clause defines how holidays are treated when they coincide with an employee's normal workday. Typically, this clause specifies whether the employee is entitled to paid time off, additional compensation, or a substitute day off if a recognized holiday occurs on a day they are scheduled to work. For example, if a public holiday falls on a Monday and the employee is normally scheduled to work Mondays, the clause will clarify their entitlements for that day. Its core function is to ensure fair and consistent treatment of holidays in relation to work schedules, preventing confusion or disputes over pay and time off.
