HOURS OF WORK AND OVERTIME PAY. 10.01 Employees shall be given an unpaid lunch period of thirty (30) minutes, but such lunch period shall not be considered as time worked. 10.02 Employees who work in excess of forty-four (44) hours per week or in excess of ten (10) hours per day, shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1½) their regular rate of pay for all such work performed after forty-four (44) hours. 10.03 In a week in which a holiday identified by Article 12.01 occurs, the weekly overtime provision in Article 10.03 will be reduced by eight (8) hours. 10.04 Work performed on a Saturday shall be paid at the employee’s regular rate of pay until the employee’s weekly hours total forty-four (44), after which the provisions of Article 10.02 shall apply. 10.05 Employees shall not normally be required to work on Sundays, however, when Sunday work is required by the Employer, employees shall be paid at the rate of two (2) times the employee’s regular rate of pay. 10.06 In addition to the unpaid thirty (30) minutes lunch break, employees shall be given two (2), ten (10) minute paid coffee breaks, one in the forenoon and one in the afternoon. 10.07 The Employer will ensure that each site is provided with a facility specifically designated as a lunchroom and a clean bathroom facility. 10.08 When employees are assigned overtime, there shall be an additional coffee break every two hours, with the first break scheduled for the eight 8th hour of work. The Employer shall provide a hot meal, or an additional half hour’s wage at straight time rates, to any employee who works more than two (2) hours of daily overtime beyond his normal work shift.
