Interruption of Leave. 13.18.3.1 If a unit member on sabbatical leave suffers an accident or illness causing an interruption of the stated activity for which the leave was granted, the unit member shall notify the Superintendent or designee within two weeks of such accident or illness. Such notification must include a doctor's verification of the unit member's physicalcondition. 13.18.3.2 Serious accident or illness suffered during the period of leave shall not affect the amount of compensation to be paid to the unit member.
