The LANGUAGE FLUENCY clause establishes the requirement that parties involved in an agreement possess sufficient proficiency in the language in which the contract is written. Typically, this clause ensures that all signatories can fully understand the terms, obligations, and rights described in the document, and may require parties to confirm their fluency or provide for translation if needed. Its core function is to prevent misunderstandings or disputes arising from language barriers, thereby ensuring that all parties are entering the agreement with clear and informed consent.
LANGUAGE FLUENCY. The Frontier School Division is committed to developing a new model to encourage all staff members to use, teach and model Indigenous languages to students. The Division will create new criteria and appropriate allowances for those who can demonstrate an acceptable level of fluency and utilize the language to the benefit of students. Until such time as a new model is developed and implemented, the following will continue to be provided to Teachers of the Frontier School Division: Where a Teacher demonstrates an accept level of fluency in an Indigenous language and meets one of the following criteria: 1. Teaches grades N-3 2. Teacher the language at least 12% of the time; or 3. A Teacher shall receive the following amounts for each six (6) credit hour course: and the following amounts for each three (3) credit hour course successfully completed 2. Course allowances shall not be paid for any course provided and/or subsidized by the Division.
LANGUAGE FLUENCY. Effective upon ratification of the 2021-2022 collective bargaining agreement a Paraprofessional who can demonstrate fluency in Braille, American Sign Language, or a language other than English shall be entitled to payment of a stipend of One-Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1500.00) per year.
LANGUAGE FLUENCY. Language fluency allowance will be granted in accordance with Division policy.
LANGUAGE FLUENCY. Any employee deemed to be fluent in a language other than English and such language is a benefit to the Employer in regards to conversing with customers shall be paid an additional premium of two dollars ($2.00) per hour when the Employer requests use of their language skills.

  • Language If the Participant has received this Agreement or any other document related to the Plan translated into a language other than English and if the meaning of the translated version is different than the English version, the English version will control.

  • Languages 20.1 The Proclamation of Sale, these conditions of sale and the Memorandum may have been translated and published in different forms and languages. In the event of any discrepancy, misstatement, omission or error appearing in the various forms or languages, this English version shall prevail.
