The LANGUAGE FLUENCY clause establishes the requirement that parties involved in an agreement possess sufficient proficiency in the language in which the contract is written. LANGUAGE FLUENCY. The Frontier School Division is committed to developing a new model to encourage all staff members to use, teach and model Indigenous languages to students. The Division will create new criteria and appropriate allowances for those who can demonstrate an acceptable level of fluency and utilize the language to the benefit of students. Until such time as a new model is developed and implemented, the following will continue to be provided to Teachers of the Frontier School Division: Where a Teacher demonstrates an accept level of fluency in an Indigenous language and meets one of the following criteria: 1. Teaches grades N-3 2. Teacher the language at least 12% of the time; or 3. LANGUAGE FLUENCY. Effective upon ratification of the 2021-2022 collective bargaining agreement a Paraprofessional who can demonstrate fluency in Braille, American Sign Language, or a language other than English shall be entitled to payment of a stipend of One-Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1500.00) per year.

  • Language If the Participant has received this Agreement or any other document related to the Plan translated into a language other than English and if the meaning of the translated version is different than the English version, the English version will control.
