LINE DEPARTMENT. The following provision constitute the apprentice program of (a) During the first six month period of employment in the Line Department, apprentices with no previous experience shall perform groundman's work and may use tools on the ground under supervision of journeyman or ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. (b) During the next three month period of employment in the Line Department, apprentices may perform work on lines that are not energized. (c) During the second nine month period of employment in the Line Department, apprentices may perform work in company with a journeyman on energized secondary circuits of not more than 440 volts. (d) During the third and fourth nine month periods of employment in the Line Department, apprentices may perform work assisting a journeyman on all classes of work. (e) An Employee shall not advance to Journeyman until such time as the Employee satisfactorily completes Journeyman training and is certified by the IBEW Cooperative Apprentice School. See * in Article III Employee Classification and Wage Rate Scales should the Union discontinue its Apprentice School program. (f) Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Section, an Employee who does not meet the above qualifications within the given time frame shall return to the position he/she held prior to entering the Line Department.
