Lunch and Rest Periods. a) Lunch periods shall be as follows: day workers - 30 minutes without pay. shift workers - 30 minutes with pay. A rest period of ten (10) minutes will be allowed in each half of the shift for both day workers and shift workers. b) Lunch and rest periods will be arranged at the discretion of the Supervisor with a view to avoiding the shutdown of machines.
