Minimum Work Time. (This Section applies to all employees except commissioned sales representatives.)
Minimum Work Time. (a) Initial Call-Outs - When an employee is called out initially for duty during non- scheduled hours not continuous with the employeeʼs regular schedule of hours and such call-outs occur: (1) between 6 A.M. and midnight, the minimum work time paid for shall be two hours at the appropriate overtime rate. (2) between midnight and 6 A.M., the minimum work time paid for shall be two hours at the appropriate overtime rate plus two hours at straight time.

No employee, except cafeteria personnel, shall be called for less than four (4) hours work in any one day except by mutual agreement among the employee, the District and the Union. Clearance for such employment will be obtained by the District through the business representative of the Service EmployeesInternational Union, Local 925.

Related to Minimum Work Time

  • Work Time Work time is defined as all hours actually spent in pay status including travel time required by and at the direction of the Employer before, during or after the regularly-assigned workday.

  • Work Day The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.

  • Work Day and Work Week The normal work day shall consist of up to 8 hours of work within a 24-hour period. The normal work week shall consist of up to 40 hours of work within a 7-day period. The Employer may define the work week on an individual, department, shift or facility basis in accordance with Federal and State law.

  • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.

  • Break Time For daily work assignments of six or more hours, permanent and probationary employees (except bus drivers and bus aides) shall be entitled to one 15-minute break for each half of the work assignment. For work assignments of less than six hours, such employees shall be entitled to one 15-minute break. Employees who spend a majority of the workday working with a Video Display Terminal (VDT) shall be permitted to perform other job-related duties (i.e., work not involving use of a VDT) 10 continuous minutes out of each hour. Such time shall not be cumulative and shall be in addition to break time established above.
