Negotiating Team Clause Samples

The Negotiating Team clause defines which individuals or groups are authorized to represent each party during contract negotiations. Typically, it specifies the names, titles, or roles of those empowered to make decisions, propose terms, and communicate on behalf of their organization. By clearly identifying the negotiating representatives, this clause helps prevent unauthorized individuals from binding the parties to terms, ensuring that negotiations are conducted efficiently and with proper authority.
Negotiating Team. The Association shall be allowed the following maximum number of paid employees from each facility as a member of the Negotiating Team with the Agency assuming no overtime obligations as a result of employees’ attendance at such meetings:  SACU: one (1) per house and one (1) Outreach Nurse  ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Cottage: one (1) At the discretion of the Association, a reasonable number of unpaid employees may attend negotiation sessions as observers. Consultants may be employed by either party.
Negotiating Team. Upon notification of bargaining the successor agreement, prior to commencing to bargain, the Union agrees to provide the employer in writing the names of the members designated as representatives for negotiations. Total number of team members shall be five (5) with at least one (1) member from each campus. The Union will attempt to ensure adequate cross-program representation. When appropriate, the designated representatives will be in paid status during negotiations with the Agency assuming no overtime obligations as a result of their attendance at such meetings. At the discretion of the Union, a reasonable number of unpaid employees may attend negotiation sessions as observers. Consultants may be employed by either party.
Negotiating Team. A. The Board of Education shall designate four (4) representatives who will meet with four (4) representatives designated by the Association for the purpose of discussing and reaching agreements. All negotiations shall be conducted exclusively between said teams. While no final agreement shall be executed without ratification by the Association and adoption by the Board, the negotiating teams will have the authority to make proposals, consider proposals, and determine items acceptable to both parties involved in negotiations. B. Up to four (4) consultants may be used by each of the parties in any of the negotiations meetings in an advisory capacity. Consultants will be permitted to enter into discussions and engage in negotiations. C. The expense of such consultants shall be borne by the party requesting or hiring them. D. Necessary clerical assistance may be provided if both parties agree, and if such is the case, the cost will be shared equally by the Board and the Association. E. News Releases and Public Statements Neither party shall issue a news release or public statement during the period of negotiations unless impasse is declared. Should either party to the negotiations issue a news release or public statement after impasse has been declared, the party will provide the other a written copy of the text of said news release or statement prior to it being made public.
Negotiating Team. ‌ The Association negotiating team will be limited to two (2) representative from the bargaining unit who will be entitled to participate in all negotiating sessions without loss of pay. An alternate representative may be named by the Association to serve as a back-up, but no more than two (2) representatives shall participate in negotiating sessions or other labor-management business sessions. Both parties recognize that cases of emergent or extenuating circumstances could require flexibility in representative participation.
Negotiating Team. Peace Harbor shall make a good faith effort to grant requested time off for all employees who are officially selected SEIU bargaining team members to attend local bargaining. The team members must give reasonable advance notice of any such requests to Peace Harbor. Negotiating team members will be able to take scheduled PTO for this time if requested but they will not be required to utilize PTO.
Negotiating Team. The negotiating team shall consist of no more than twelve (12) bargaining unit employees. These employees shall be allowed to attend all negotiating sessions that occur during their regular working hours with pay, and seven (7) employees shall be given time off with pay to ratify the contract each year. Such time shall be paid at straight time.
Negotiating Team. The Parties shall be represented at all negotiating meetings by a team of negotiators selected by the respective Parties, not to exceed six (6) members each, including any consultant(s) unless otherwise agreed to by the Parties. All negotiations shall be conducted exclusively between said teams.
Negotiating Team. Each negotiation team shall consist of at least one (1) chief negotiator, one (1) team member and one (1) alternate with a maximum of five members.

Negotiating Team. A maximum of [six (6)] nine (9) members of the Association’s negotiating team, as designated by the Association, shall be compensated for time spent in attendance at negotiations meetings with the Employer. Time spent in attendance at such meetings will not be used in the calculation of overtime. Negotiating team members may be selected from any of the work units represented by the Association. At the discretion of the Association, a reasonable number of unpaid employees may attend negotiation sessions. Members’ seniority and other accrued benefits shall accrue on all time spent in attendance at such meetings regardless of whether the employee elects to use paid time off benefits. Consultants may be employed by either party.
