Negotiating Team Schedules. The members of the Association 16 negotiating team will attempt to adjust their schedules to accommodate negotiations 17 including arranging for schedule trades, if they are unsuccessful, the members of the 18 negotiation team should alert their managers, who will, when possible, release 19 members of the negotiating team from scheduled shifts to attend negotiation sessions, 20 subject to patient care needs and the operational needs of the Medical Center.

Negotiating Team Schedules. The parties commit to the importance of 25 participation of registered nurses in contract negotiations. The members of the 26 Association negotiating team will work with their managers to make good faith attempts 27 to adjust their schedules to accommodate negotiations, including arranging for schedule 28 trades. If they are unsuccessful, the Medical Center agrees it will release up to eight 29 members of the negotiating team from scheduled shifts to attend negotiation sessions, 30 and for the first 12 bargaining sessions of each contract, without loss of pay, unless 31 urgent patient care needs or operation needs arise in which case the Medical Center 32 will notify the Association and the nurse of the emergent need to reschedule bargaining.
