The 'Optometrists' clause defines the roles, responsibilities, or requirements related to optometrists within the context of the agreement. It may specify qualifications needed for optometrists, outline the scope of services they are authorized to provide, or set standards for their conduct and professional practice. For example, the clause might require that only licensed optometrists perform certain eye examinations or treatments under the contract. Optometrists. For employees in the classification Optometrist (VPS7), the dates set forth in subsections A and B do not apply. Instead, this section 12.5 “Dual Coverage” applies effective on and after January 1, 2010. With this exception, all other provisions of section 12.5 apply.

Optometrists. The Parties acknowledge that the foregoing provisions shall also restrict any company to which a Restricted Party provides management services, and the Restricted Party shall disclose this restriction to any company to which it provides management services and obtain their agreement to be bound to this Non-Solicitation clause. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Parties acknowledge that the foregoing restrictions in clause (A) above shall not apply to general advertisements in newspapers, magazines or other periodicals that are widely distributed, but the Restricted Parties shall continue to be bound by the restrictions and prohibitions set forth in clauses (B) and (C) with respect to any optometrist responding to such advertisements. Further, with respect to clause (C) the term "other relationship" shall not include a relationship with an optometrist which consists SOLELY of the inclusion of such optometrist on the managed vision care plan panels or selling optical goods to, or purchasing optical goods on behalf of, such optometrists. 5 <PAGE> (b)
Optometrists. Optometrists are licensed to practise on a provincial basis, although there is informal provincial reciprocity in some areas in Canada. Optometrists engaged by DND must be licensed in the province in which they are engaged unless reciprocity exists.

Optometrists. Home Study is to be scheduled on “off” work time. • In order to obtain education leave pay for Home Study Programs, the staff should submit an application to request educational leave pay and proof of completion of the program which denotes the contract hours. • 1 hour of educational leave pay will be granted for each contact hour of a home study program.
Optometrists. The work day is defined as the twenty-four (24) hour period beginning when the Health Care Professional commences work and the twenty-four (24) hour clock remains set until the Health Care Professional is not on the clock at the end of the preceding twenty-four (24) hour period. The twenty-four (24) hour clock remains constant until there is a period greater than twenty-four (24) hours before the next shift commences. • You are setting your clock the minute you clock in if you have been off greater than 24 hours. Make a mental note of this time for your protection. • The 24 hour clock start time stays with you until you are off again for 24 hours or more. • If you are making a decision to work last minute additional hours, coming in early to help out, or a training session after being off, always consider your current 24 hour clock or how it will be reset if you have been off greater than 24 hours. • If you understand your 24 hour clock you will never be surprised when you get your pay check.

Optometrists. You agree that each Optometrist shall: • hold accreditation with the following professional bodies: o Optometry – General Optical Council (GOC) and the College of Optometrists; Orthoptists (where applicable) – Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and British and Irish Orthoptic Society (BIOS); • have at least five years’ experience in practice; and • have a clean record with the regulatory body.; and that each Facility shall: • have a named lead clinician in place who has five years post qualification experience in full time practice, who is able to demonstrate advanced clinical skills in their chosen speciality and able to provide evidence for at least the previous two years that supports their status as a senior clinician in that speciality; • have a named senior clinician in each of the Services; • be able to provide details of clinical measures of improvements and patient satisfaction; and • be contactable out of hours, if necessary by providing the mechanism for leaving a message for call back. If, at any time the Provider or a Facility becomes aware that an Optometrist materially ceases to comply with any of the quality standards above, the Provider agrees to inform ▇▇▇▇ as soon as possible.
