Other Appearances. Leave of absence with pay not charged against leave time shall be granted for court appearances as a witness in an incident connected with an employee’s employment or whenever the employee is subpoenaed to attend any court proceedings related to his/her employment, or the School, providing there is no proven criminal act or gross negligence on the part of the employee. If the employee received court pay, the employee must reimburse the District the amount of compensation received from said court or agency within ten (10) days of receipt of same. Any employee suing the District for any reason shall not be compensated for time missed due to court appearances regarding same.
Other Appearances. Employees appearing in their official capacity off duty as required shall be paid overtime for the actual work performed in making such appearance with a minimum equivalent of three (3) hours at the overtime rate.
Other Appearances. For off-duty appearances at Federal Court, Circuit Court, Probate Court and Liquor Control Commission and Secretary of State License Appeal Hearings, members shall receive a minimum of three (3) hours at time and one- half (1.5x) their base hourly rate. An officer may not be paid both for vacation time or any other paid time off and a court appearance, which occurs during an officer’s normal work day, or during an officer’s normal work hours.

Other Appearances. The City shall pay overtime for appearances before the License Commission, depositions, or disciplinary hearings, when subpoenaed.

  • Contractors All LAUSD Contractors and their Representatives are expected to conduct any and all business affiliated with LAUSD in an ethical and responsible manner that fosters integrity and public confidence.
