Payment on Temporary Assignment. Where an employee is temporarily assigned by the Employer to perform work in a classification paying a lower rate than that employee’s regular rate while there is work available in that employee’s own classification, the Employee shall be paid their regular rate. When an employee is temporarily assigned by the Employer to perform work in a classification paying a higher rate, the employee shall receive the rate for that classification including any applicable overtime. Where that classification rate is on an increment scale, the employee shall receive a rate of one increment step higher than that employee’s current rate.
Payment on Temporary Assignment. Where an Employee is temporarily assigned by the Employer to perform work in a classification paying a lower rate than that Employee’s regular rate while there is work available in that Employee’s own classification, the Employee shall be paid his/her regular rate. When an Employee is temporarily assigned by the Employer to perform work in a classification paying a higher rate, the Employee shall receive the rate for that classification. Where the classification rate is on an increment scale, the Employee shall receive an increase in pay that approximates one increment step (based on his/her current scale) increase over his/her current increment rate or the maximum for the position; whichever is less.

  • Temporary Assignments When an employee is assigned temporarily by his/her appointing authority to a job for which he/she is qualified in a higher pay grade for a period of five (5) days or his/her regular workweek, whichever is less, the employee shall be paid retroactively from the initial date of the temporary transfer for the duration of the temporary assignment.   • Assignment on Return On return from leave, a participant will be assigned to his former position unless it is no longer available. In such a case the employee will be given a comparable job, if possible, or the layoff provisions will be applied.

  • Temporary Upgrade An employee in a temporary upgrade status shall have no right to grieve or arbitrate release from such temporary upgrade status.
