Performance of Remaining Work. The work remaining after a workforce reduction shall 35 be performed by currently employed nurses until the Employer determines that recall 36 shall be initiated. The Employer may employ laid off Nurses who retain recall rights 37 as On-call Nurses to perform available work.

Should more than 26 one nurse then bid on a shift it shall be awarded to the most senior nurse on the 27 recall list who bid. Notwithstanding 12.3.5, nurses shall not be utilized to perform 28 work on a regularly scheduled basis that could be performed by a nurse on layoff 29 status who is qualified for and interested in being recalled for such work.
