Posting of Positions. Notices of vacancy in a 12.1 The Nursing Director shall determine whether there should be an immediate effort to fill the position, new positionsa delay in the effort to fill the position, an attempt to fill the position with fewer hours or a decision not to fill the position at all with a consequent reduction in authorized work hours.
12.2 All vacancies for bargaining unit positions paying a higher salary or positions providing for an increase in hours shall be sent posted for a minimum of seven (7) consecutive days in the department or unit to provide an equal opportunity for all for interested internal candidates to apply. The hiring authority may fill the position with an internal department/unit candidate, without posting throughout the medical center, provided the candidate meets the following criteria: minimum requirements of the position as specified by the current job description and had appropriate involvement with/or knowledge of the position vacated.

12.4 If no internal candidate from within the affected department or unit applies for the open position within the seven posting days, the Nursing Director will contact Human Resources to begin the expanded recruitment process. Notice of available positions will be posted on the bulletin board outside the cafeteria, the Human Resources department, the Sands wing, and on other clinical unit department bulletin boards that have bargaining unit positions and off site locations for a minimum of seven (7) consecutive days.
12.5 Positions may be posted outside the affected department or clinical unit and advertised outside the medical center and on the employer Intranet concurrently with their posting in the affected department or clinical unit, provided that such posting or advertising shall not impact the rights of nurses under this Article.
12.6 Following the close of the posting period on the affected department or unit, the Employer shall offer the position to the President of most senior applicant from within the Unit and posted as soon as possible in each school building on department or clinical unit who meets the employee bulletin boards and shall remain posted for at least ten days when possible to allow incumbent employees an opportunity to file for such position. The notice shall set forth the description requirements of the position. If the vacancy is not filled from within the department or clinical unit, salary range the Employer shall offer the position to qualified nurses on recall for the classification pursuant to the provisions of Article 12.
12.7 If the vacancy is not filled from the recall list, the Employer shall offer the position to an applicant currently in the classification but outside the clinical unit, based upon the applicant’s skills, abilities and relevant professional experience, giving preference to employees who have received a layoff notice. In the event that skills, abilities and experiences are relatively equal, the Employer shall select the applicant with the most seniority.
12.8 If the vacancy is not filled through the preceding procedures, applicants from any other source may be considered.
12.9 In all cases, the applicant selected must possess the ability to perform the duties of the position and meet the qualifications required. If, in and department specific preferred qualifications included on the District’s judgment, candidates have equal qualifications job description.

Posting of Positions. Notices 19.1 Appointments under the provisions of this Article shall be made by Management based on qualifications and seniority. Qualifications being sufficient, seniority shall prevail. Applicant employees having greater seniority than the employee appointed may lodge grievances according to the provisions of Article 24 within seven (7) days from the date of the appointment.

Posting of Positions. Notices Section 1. When the Employer desires to fill a permanent opening or a new position it will be posted for seventy-two (72) hours before hiring from the outside. Posting of Positions. Notices A. A vacancy shall be defined as an opening in the bargaining unit created by the resignation, retirement, death, non-renewal or termination of a bargaining unit member or a newly created bargaining unit position that the Board intends to fill.
B. When a vacancy develops in any of the job classifications noted in this section, notice will be posted for a positionperiod of five (5) working days. Vacancies that occur in July and August may be posted internally and externally at the same time. Non-certified employees may bid on a vacancy (in writing) within five (5) working days after the job has been posted. The Superintendent shall respond to the written bid/application within five (5) working days from receipt of dated, new positions, positions paying a higher salary or positions providing written bid/application. The Superintendent shall arrange for an increase interview with the applicant within five (5) working days of the applicant’s bid. Within five (5) working days of the interview, the Superintendent will notify the employee of the approval of the request for transfer/assignment, or give notice that the transfer/assignment will not be awarded, with written explanation. This position will be filled as a temporary position until the absent employee returns to work at which time the temporary bidder shall return to his/her previous position. Posting of Positions. Notices (1) The employer agrees that when the principle duties and responsibilities of vacancy in a position change more than 50 %, the position will be posted for bid. When it is not easily determined as to what constitutes 50% of the duties regularly assigned, this will be decided by consultation between management and the union.
(a) In the Clerk Craft, when the title Sales and Service Associate is removed or added to an occupied position, new positions, positions paying the position will be reposted.

(7) The employer agrees that all bids on which an employee is eligible to submit a bid be submitted on PS Form 1717/ 1717A, ELR 82-1, or any officially designated PS Form which is provided for bidding purposes. At the Merged Post Offices, the credentials employee will submit the bid form to the Postmaster/Immediate supervisor. At stations and branches, a pouch/container will be dispatched/processed to the Personnel Office.

Openings which arise However, when school more than three (3) Occasional Teachers apply, principals may shortlist from resumes to a minimum of three (3) Occasional Teacher candidates for interview purposes.
(c) Upon request, the Board agrees to provide feedback to Occasional Teacher applicants for Long-Term Occasional teaching positions who are not successful as per Article 12.02
(a) These discussions shall be professionally consultative in nature, designed to assist the unsuccessful candidate to be better prepared for future opportunities with the Board.
12.03 Notwithstanding 12.02 (a), the Board may fill a vacancy that is anticipated to be a continuous vacancy with an Occasional Teacher who is not on the Lists defined in session shall be sent Articles 11.01 (a) and (b) when there are no Qualified applicants from the Lists. The Board will give consideration to those teachers on the List who have made written application prior to the President closing date for a vacancy posted in accordance with Article 12.01. Neither failure to hire such an applicant nor any insufficiency in consideration of any application is a violation of the Unit (or his/her designee) for transmission to interested Unit employees. Paraprofessionals who perform paraprofessional work during the summer recess will be paid at their applicable rates of pay as provided in Attachment B to this Agreement. It is Therefore neither the contemplation decision of whom to place in the vacancy nor the sufficiency of the parties that new unit hires (i.e. the hiring of employees consideration are matters over which an arbitrator shall have any jurisdiction.
12.04 The Board will consider written applications for permanent teaching positions from Occasional Teachers who have not previously worked for completed two or more successful Long- Term Occasional assignments, or in the School District) will be at case of a Long-Term Occasional assignment which includes completion of two sets of report cards, and are currently on the lowest step of the applicable salary schedule commensurate with the candidate’s objective qualifications, skills and relevant experience. Where the School District deems it appropriate to make new unit hire at an initial salary step placement of Step 4 or higher, the Administration shall advise the unit PresidentOccasional Teacher List, prior to considering the making applications of a final employment offerexternal applicants. Notwithstanding the above, of this Article will not apply for specialist positions as identified under the reasons why such salary step placement has been considered appropriateEducation Act.
12.05 Notwithstanding Article 11.05, and should teachers be determined to be redundant during the parties shall discuss the qualifications, skills and experience appropriate to the positionschool year, the credentials of the outside candidate, and the credentials of other unit members. Any failure Board may use such redundant teachers to advise and discuss as required fill positions normally filled by this paragraph shall be subject to grievance and arbitration. However, so long as there has been advice and discussion as required herein, initial salary placement decisions shall rest within the sound discretion of the School District, and shall not be grievableOccasional Teachers.
