Preparation and Maintenance of Seniority List Sample Clauses

The "Preparation and Maintenance of Seniority List" clause establishes the requirement for creating and regularly updating a formal record that ranks employees based on their length of service or other relevant criteria. Typically, this list is compiled by the employer and made accessible to employees, with updates occurring at set intervals or when significant employment changes happen, such as promotions or transfers. The core function of this clause is to ensure transparency and fairness in employment decisions related to promotions, layoffs, or other actions where seniority is a determining factor, thereby reducing disputes and misunderstandings regarding employee ranking.
