The Project Description would be the basis for the Initial Study and would define the scope of the project under CEQA. Information provided in the background study will be used to guide development of the Project Description as well as information from the geotechnical and hydrographic and survey information. The Project Description will describe the limits of the dredge operations in terms of physical area, work methodology, and work time limits. The Project Description will also describe the disposal site characteristics and the methods to deliver and distribute disposal material at the site. The Project Description will also include identification and description of buffer zones and work area exclusion zones and the mitigation measures that have been incorporated into the project. Consultant will conduct a site visit and kickoff meeting with the County (Environmental staff and Flood Control County staff) to discuss the Project Description and review the proposed project. Consultant will submit the Project Description to the Marin County Environmental Coordinator for review and approval. We will incorporate comments and make changes as directed by the County and include the final Project description in the Administrative Draft Initial Study.
Prepare Project Description. The project description serves as the fundamental basis from which to conduct resource and CEQA impact evaluations and to prepare permit applications. Based upon project designs and general description of maintenance activities from OneShoreline, Montrose will develop a project description for the project that is consistent with CEQA statute and guidelines. Specifically, the project description will include the standard information required by CEQA Guideline Section 15124, such as a site location map, description of the proposed project and its goals, project features, construction methods, and long-term operations and management. Montrose will submit the draft project description for OneShoreline review, revise it based on comments received, and resubmit it to OneShoreline with the administrative draft Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) as part of Task 2.2.
Prepare Project Description. Utilizing the project program developed in Task 3.0, AEC will prepare a detailed project description suitable for CEQA processing. AEC will submit the project description in electronic format to TCPUD for review and comment and will make revisions prior to preparing the environmental analysis.

  • Project Summary The main objective of the LIFE GAIA Sense project is to demonstrate gaiasense, an innovative “Smart Farming” (SF) solution that aims at reducing the consumption of natural resources, as a way to protect the environment and support Circular Economy (CE) models. More specifically, this project will launch 18 demonstrators across Greece, Spain and Portugal covering 9 crops (olives, peach, cotton, pistachio, potato, table tomatoes, industrial tomatoes, grapes, kiwi, walnut) in various terrain and microclimatic conditions. They will demonstrate an innovative method, based on high-end technology, which is suitable for being replicated and will be accessible and affordable to Farmers either as individuals or collectively through Agricultural Cooperatives. Moreover, LIFE GAIA Sense aims to promote resource efficiency practices in SMEs of the agricultural sector and eventually, contribute to the implementation of the Roadmap to a Resource Efficient Europe. This project will demonstrate a method on how the farmer will be able to decide either to use or avoid inputs (irrigation, fertilizers, pesticides etc.) in a most efficient way, without risking the annual production. The focus is on the resource consumption reduction side of CE, and the results will be both qualitatively and quantitatively, considering the resources’ efficiency in agricultural sector.
