No New Employees New employees shall not be hired until those laid off have been given an opportunity of recall.
EMPLOYER AND UNION TO ACQUAINT NEW EMPLOYEES (a) At the time of hire new employees will be advised that a collective agreement is in effect and of the conditions of employment set out in the articles dealing with Union Security and Dues Check-off. (b) A new employee shall also be provided with: (1) the name, location and work telephone number of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇; and (2) an authorization form for union dues check-off. (c) Upon request, the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall be advised of the name, location and work telephone number of the new employee. (d) The ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ will be given an opportunity to interview each new employee within regular working hours, without loss of pay, for 15 minutes sometime during the first 30 days of employment. (e) The Union will provide the Employer with an up-to-date list of stewards' names, work locations and work telephone numbers in order that the Employer may meet its obligation in (b)(1) above. (f) The Union will be provided with a copy of the completed and signed authorization form for dues check-off for all new employees.
Rights of Employees to Representation Every employee covered by this Agreement shall have the right to present grievances in accordance with these procedures. Any aggrieved person may be represented at all formal and informal stages of the grievance procedures by himself or by the employee and a representative from the Association. If any employee files any claim or complaint other than under the grievance procedure of this Agreement, then the school district shall not be required to process the same claimed set of facts through the grievance procedures. All meetings and hearing under this procedure shall be conducted in private and shall include only witnesses, the parties of interest, and their designated or selected representatives heretofore referred to in this Article.
Representations of Employee Employee represents to the Company that: (a) there are no restrictions, agreements or understandings whatsoever to which Employee is a party that would prevent, or make unlawful, his execution of this Agreement and his employment hereunder; (b) his execution of this Agreement and his employment hereunder shall not constitute a breach of any contract, agreement or understanding, oral or written, to which he is a party, or by which he is bound; and (c) he is of full capacity, free and able to execute this Agreement and to enter into this Agreement with the Company.
Employee’s Representations Employee represents and warrants that Employee is free to enter into this Agreement and to perform each of the terms and covenants in it. Employee represents and warrants that Employee is not restricted or prohibited, contractually or otherwise, from entering into and performing this Agreement, and that Employee’s execution and performance of this Agreement is not a violation or breach of any other agreement or other legal obligation between Employee and any other person or entity.
