Progression Increases. Employees shall be eligible for consideration for wage increases on the first payroll period following completion of the initial twenty-six (26) payroll periods of continuous service as defined in Article 17, and annual periods thereafter until the employee has reached the maximum pay rate of the applicable pay range. The annual date for such eligibility is referred to herein as the anniversary increase date.
Progression Increases. All wage progressions will become effective on the first day of the appropriate payroll period. Wage progression dates will be calculated from the annual wage effective date as follows: All employees hired on or prior to 2/9/03 will progress one step on the Wage Progression Schedule, up to the top annual wage rate, at six-month intervals from that date. All other employees will advance one step on the Wage Progression Schedule, up to the top annual wage rate, at six-month intervals from their individual date of hire or transfer into the bargaining unit.
Progression Increases a) All progression rerates will be effective at the beginning of the payroll period in which the completion of the required schedule intervals, at the rate on the grade assigned, occurs.
b) In the case of continuous absence of over one month on the part of an employee, the normal time interval until the next scheduled progression increase shall be deferred by as many pay periods as the number of such complete pay periods of absence beyond the first month, and the period of deferment will be reflected in the subsequent steps of the schedule.
c) Progression increases may be withheld for just cause.
Progression Increases. Salary treatment shall be in accordance with the current issue of the Technical Salary Schedule and in keeping with the established grade to which each individual technical employee has been assigned.
Progression Increases. If a faculty member is not granted step progression salary increase, the decision may be appealed to a three (3)-person panel. That panel will consist of an administrator appointed by the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, a faculty member appointed by the Association President, and a Department Head/Program Director agreed upon by both the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and Association President. This panel will review the documentation provided by the faculty member in support of the step progression to determine whether the process has been followed and whether the documentation is adequate to meet step progression requirements. The panel’s decision will be final.
4. Associate Professor ▇▇▇▇, Full Professor ▇▇▇▇ and Step Progression Increases Following Full Professor: If a faculty member has applied for and been denied rank of associate professor, full professor, or step progression following full professor, the decision may be appealed to a three (3)-person panel. That panel will consist of an administrator appointed by the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, a faculty member appointed by the Association President, and a Department Head/Program Director agreed upon by both the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and Association President. This panel will review the documentation provided by the faculty member in support of their application to determine whether the process has been followed and whether the documentation is adequate to meet the requirements of the rank or step progression. If a panel denies a faculty member’s appeal two (2) consecutive years, the faculty member may appeal the third denial through the parties’ grievance procedure (Article 10).
Progression Increases after June 1, 2006
1) The nature and amount of the progression increases after June 1, 2006 will be determined by the new ACUMAE compensation model to be developed pursuant to Articles 14.08.2 and 17.03.
2) In the event that a new ACUMAE compensation model is not fully implemented for June 1, 2007, employees shall continue to receive, on an annual basis, a 2% progression increase to Control Point A), until the new compensation model is established and implemented. The provisions of Article 17.01.4.1 shall apply mutatis mutandis.

(b) Progression incremental increases will be granted at the beginning of the pay periods nearest to June 1st and December 1st in each year. Where the employee is less than a full incremental step from the grade rate, the last progression will be that amount which will bring the employee’s salary to the grade rate of his assigned grade.
(c) Progression increases may be withheld for just cause.

A wage increase shall not be withheld without first providing written notice to an employee including the reason(s) withheld. Such notice shall be provided to the employee prior to the anniversary increase date. Withholding an increase shall be considered a disciplinary action.
