Progression Policy. All students admitted to the nursing major must earn a minimum grade of “C” (2.0) in each required theory and/or clinical nursing course. Grades of C- and below indicates a nursing course failure. Students in the BSN accelerated 2nd degree program who fail a course will be moved to the traditional program pending space availability (see number 3).
Progression Policy. Students progress to the next term and/or level following successful completion of the program of studies and demonstration of desirable personal and professional attributes. Any student not completing all course requirements by the end of the course will fail the course with the exception of students who have extenuating circumstances, e.g., motor vehicle collision. A faculty committee assumes the responsibilities for periodic evaluations of student achievement and decides upon the progression of students at the close of each term or level of the program. Once the student is formally enrolled in the ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ School of Nursing program, the student must complete the program within five academic years. Both theory and clinical components of a course must be satisfactorily completed at the same time to constitute passing the course. The faculty provides individual evaluation of students who will not complete the program within the required timeframe due to extenuating circumstances (i.e. military commitment or illness). At the completion of the second level, the student shall be recommended for progression to the third level provided the following conditions have been met:
Progression Policy. For students in the nursing program, the following grade scale will be utilized: A = 96 – 100 C = 74 – 76 A– = 91 – 95 C– = 70 – 73 B+ = 87 – 90 D+ = 67 – 69 B = 84 – 86 D = 64 – 66 B– = 83 – 80 D– = 60 – 63 C+ = 77 – 79 F = Below 60 A grade is given solely on the basis of the instructor’s judgment as to the student’s scholarly attainment. Instructors file course grade reports at the end of each term according to the following standard: A Excellent achievement. The student performs at a superior level and more than satisfies all requirements of the course by being able to treat the course content with unusual skill, often creatively. B Good work, better than satisfactory. The student does more than meet all requirements of the instructor for the course. C Satisfactory work. The student completes all assigned work in an acceptable fashion. D Poor work, barely passing. This grade represents work that is in some manner unsatisfactory. F Unacceptable work. AU Designates audit. The student does the reading assignments, attends all classes, but does not submit written work or take examinations. CR Designates credit. NC Designates no credit. IP Designates in progress. P Designates pass I Designates incomplete. Grades are sometimes modified by plus (+) or minus (-) with the following exceptions: Grades of A+ and D- are not given. Quality of grade points earned for each credit hour (unit) completed are assigned to each mark as follows: A = 4.0; A- = 3.7 B+ = 3.3; B = 3.0; B- = 2.7 C+ = 2.3; C = 2.0; C- = 1.7 Generic BSN students must achieve a grade of no less than a B- in the nursing courses, and a semester GPA of 3.0. If a student does not achieve a passing grade in a course, they may repeat the course once. Students may only repeat one course in the program. A second course that is not passed is automatic dismissal from the program. Student must maintain a 3.0 GPA to remain in the program. Students who fail a course must submit an application for return to the semester they failed the following year. Students will be considered for readmission if there is available space. Faculty will review students’ clinical and didactic performance at the end of each course and/or whenever deemed necessary using the theory and clinical evaluation tools. Students must achieve a passing grade in all courses within the nursing major. A passing theory grade is a B- as long as the semester cumulative score is 3.0.   • Admission Policy The Academy shall comply with all admissions policies and criteria required by laws applicable to public school academies under the Code. The Academy must make a reasonable effort to advertise its enrollment openings. Open enrollment must be for a period of at least two (2) weeks and shall permit the enrollment of pupils by parents and/or guardians at times in the evening and weekends, and shall comply with all requirements of Applicable Law.   • Union Policy Grievance The Union may institute a grievance consisting of an allegation of a general misinterpretation or a violation by the Employer of this Agreement in writing at Step Number 2 of the grievance procedure, providing that it is presented within ten (10) working days after the circumstances giving rise to the grievance have originated or occurred. However, it is expressly understood that the provisions of this clause may not be used to institute a grievance directly affecting an employee or employees which such employee or employees could themselves initiate as an individual or group grievance and the regular grievance procedure shall not be thereby bypassed.

  • NO LEMON POLICY This Agreement provides that following the expiration of the term of the Covered Product’s manufacturer’s warranty, and subject to Our Limit of Liability, after three (3) service repairs have been completed for the Covered Product for the same problem, as determined in Our sole discretion, in lieu of performing a fourth (4th) repair on the Covered Product, We may replace it with a product of like kind or similar features, or issue a check to You in an amount not to exceed the remaining limit of liability as determined in accordance with the section titled “LIMIT OF LIABILITY.” If We replace the Covered Product, all Our obligations for the Covered Product under this Agreement terminate.

  • Retention Policy City shall retain ten percent (10%) of the amount due for Required Services detailed on each invoice (the “holdback amount”). Upon City review and determination of Project Completion, the holdback amount will be issued to Consultant.

  • Vacation Policy Executive shall be entitled to four weeks of paid vacation during each calendar year of the Term, which such vacation shall accrue in accordance with Company policy.
