Purpose and Extent. 2.1 The timely sharing of data, and the ability to make use of bespoke data is important to support joint working across the North West. Its use should be tailored and support development of solutions to common challenges; and ultimately to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families. 2.2 The Annex sets out the framework for the sharing of data agreed by the parties in support of collaborative efforts to improve the quality of Children’s Services. It has been created to ensure that data flows between parties are clearly documented and ensure the operation of the North West Sector Led Improvement Board is defined, agreed and engenders collective ownership and oversight. 2.3 This Annex is not intended to create binding legal obligations on the parties. Rather, it sets out a statement of intent, and provides the framework for voluntary data sharing arrangements entered into. It sets out principles for sharing, processing, analysing and using this data, and the respective roles of each party. Adherence to all relevant data protection legislation and the specific requirements of GDPR remains the responsibility of individual parties.
