The "RECOMMENDED Coursework Outside of the Discipline" clause identifies courses outside a student's primary field of study that are suggested to enhance their academic experience. RECOMMENDED Coursework Outside of the Discipline. As stated previously, some Framework courses are more relevant to the field of Geography than others. Below is a list of recommended courses for each Framework category. Students should work with an academic advisor to select the best options for their major and their transfer institution. Students will not be penalized for not completing recommended coursework prior to transferring. Category 1 3-4 credits 1. At least 3 cr. English Composition* [REQUIRED] Category 2 3-4 credits 1. RECOMMENDED Coursework Outside of the Discipline. In addition to the major-specific requirements mentioned previously, Theatre students would benefit greatly from completing foundation-level coursework in the following areas: • History – 3-4 credits • Literature – 6-8 credits • Arts and Humanities (in an area other than Theatre) – 3-4 credits • Exercise Science and Wellness, Dance or Movement – 3-4 credits Institutions are advised to incorporate recommended coursework into the articulated associate degree either as part of the institution’s general education curriculum (or distribution requirements), as a requirement of the major or to fulfill required free electives. Recommended coursework outside of the discipline may be fulfilled by completing approved courses from the Transfer Credit Framework. The Framework consists of six categories which include courses in English, public speaking, math, science, art, humanities, history and the behavioral and social sciences. Each category consists of multiple course options. The Framework allows students to transfer up to 30 credits of foundation courses from one participating college or university to another and have those courses count toward graduation. Some Framework courses are more relevant to the field of Theatre than others. Students should work with an academic advisor to select the best options for their major of interest. See Appendix B. Students who do not complete recommended coursework prior to transferring will not be penalized by the receiving bachelor-degree institution. RECOMMENDED Coursework Outside of the Discipline. Recommended Framework Courses for Students Majoring in History 2. In Category 3, students should complete one mathematics course such as foundation of mathematics or elementary statistics. In Category 4 students may complete up to two natural science courses with a lab. Coursework in Category 5 should not include History courses. In Category 6 students are encouraged to complete a foreign language though any of the courses are appropriate. If students chose a foreign language other than French, Spanish, or German, they should first determine the availability of these courses at the institution to which they wish to transfer. These courses are recommendations only. They are not required as part of the major or the articulation agreement. Students will not be penalized for not completing the recommended courses prior to transferring.   • Convicted, Discriminatory, Antitrust Violator, and Suspended Vendor Lists In accordance with sections 287.133, 287.134, and 287.137, F.S., the Contractor is hereby informed of the provisions of sections 287.133(2)(a), 287.134(2)(a), and 287.137(2)(a), F.S. For purposes of this Contract, a person or affiliate who is on the Convicted Vendor List, the Discriminatory Vendor List, or the Antitrust Violator Vendor List may not perform work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under the Contract. The Contractor must notify the Department if it or any of its suppliers, subcontractors, or consultants have been placed on the Convicted Vendor List, the Discriminatory Vendor List, or the Antitrust Violator Vendor List during the term of the Contract. In accordance with section 287.1351, F.S., a vendor placed on the Suspended Vendor List may not enter into or renew a contract to provide any goods or services to an agency after its placement on the Suspended Vendor List. A firm or individual placed on the Suspended Vendor List pursuant to section 287.1351, F.S., the Convicted Vendor List pursuant to section 287.133, F.S., the Antitrust Violator Vendor List pursuant to section 287.137, F.S., or the Discriminatory Vendor List pursuant to section 287.134, F.S., is immediately disqualified from Contract eligibility.

  • Aggravating and Mitigating Factors The penalties in this matter were determined in consideration of all relevant circumstances, including statutory factors as described in CARB’s Enforcement Policy. CARB considered whether the violator came into compliance quickly and cooperated with the investigation; the extent of harm to public health, safety and welfare; nature and persistence of the violation, including the magnitude of the excess emissions; compliance history; preventative efforts taken; innovative nature and the magnitude of the effort required to comply, and the accuracy, reproducibility, and repeatability of the available test methods; efforts to attain, or provide for, compliance prior to violation; action taken to mitigate the violation; financial burden to the violator; and voluntary disclosure. The penalties are set at levels sufficient to deter violations, to remove any economic benefit or unfair advantage from noncompliance, to obtain swift compliance, and the potential costs, risks, and uncertainty associated with litigation. Penalties in future cases might be smaller or larger depending on the unique circumstances of the case.

  • CONCERTED ACTIVITIES 19-1 It is agreed and understood that there will be no strike, work stoppage, or slowdown, or similar interference with the operations of the District by the Association or by its officer, agents, or unit members during the term of this Agreement, including compliance with the request of other labor organizations to engage in such activity.

  • FLORIDA CONVICTED/SUSPENDED/DISCRIMINATORY COMPLAINTS By submission of an offer, the respondent affirms that it is not currently listed in the Florida Department of Management Services Convicted/Suspended/Discriminatory Complaint Vendor List.

  • Unsafe Working Conditions Employees shall be recognized by the Employer to have the competence to determine what constitutes unsafe working conditions within their discipline. No employee shall be disciplined for refusal to work in a situation which is deemed unsafe beyond the reasonable requirements of the employee's job.
