The 'Regular Daily Hours' clause defines the standard number of hours an employee is expected to work each day under the terms of their employment. Typically, this clause specifies the start and end times of the workday, as well as the total daily hours, such as an 8-hour workday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It may also address variations for different roles or shifts. By clearly outlining the normal working hours, this clause ensures both employer and employee have a mutual understanding of daily expectations, reducing the risk of disputes over working time and facilitating compliance with labor regulations.
Regular Daily Hours. The regular working day shall consist of six (6) hours, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for the office and clerical staff. However, where agreement can be reached locally between the employee and the Employer, such a schedule can be changed. The Union will then be notified in writing.
