Respecting Resource Limits a. You will use the system only for educational and career development activities and limited, high-quality, self-discovery activities.
b. You will not load or download any executable file or other large files without permission from a teacher, or building administrator, or Technology Team member.
c. Students shall not use a District technology system or network to play games.
d. You are responsible for limiting the use of disk space and deleting unnecessary files in a timely manner.
e. Students shall not stream unauthorized video or music.
f. Students will not connect (via hard wired or wireless) any personal electronic device to the Fowlerville Community Schools network. This includes but is not limited to laptops, tablets, gaming devices, computers, and phones. An administrator can authorize a student to use their own device to access online courses through the Districts wireless network. This access will be CIPA compliant and will pass through either the Districts firewall/filter whether on or off campus.

(c) Students will check their e-mail frequently and delete unwanted messages promptly.
(d) Students will not subscribe to discussion group mail lists.
(e) Students will not participate in “Chat Rooms”.

c. I will not download or use games, pictures, video, music, instant messaging, e-mail, or file sharing applications, programs, executables, or anything else unless I have direct authorization from a teacher, it is legal for me to have the files, and it is in support of a classroom assignment.
d. I understand that LSC personnel may monitor and access any equipment connected to LSC network resources and my computer activity. LSC personnel may delete any files that are not for a classroom assignment.

If necessary, they will download the file at a time when the system is not being heavily used such as after class or business hours and immediately remove the file from the system computer to removable media. Users may be asked to terminate a large download if such activity impairs the efficient operation of the system or an educational activity.

c. Users will not download, install and/or use any unauthorized software.

3. Student use of online communication will be limited to pre-approved curriculum- related projects that are supervised by a teacher.

b. Students may download files only with a staff member’s permission.

d. Users are encouraged to check their email frequently and delete unwanted messages promptly. Further, users need to delete unnecessary files in their accounts and/or shared folders.
e. Students may subscribe to group mail/lists/listservs that are relevant to their education with an instructor's consent. Students are responsible for unsubscribing to group mail/list- servs before leaving the District.

You may use the system only for educational activities, career development activities and limited, high- quality, self-discovery activities. • You may not waste school resources through improper use of the computer system. • In order to protect and reserve bandwidth and other resources for educational use, students (including those who are in a school building before or after school) may not: o Download any file o Stream Audio/Video files • The use of personal devices such as PDA’s (Palms, cell phones with web capability, etc.) and laptops (either wireless or Ethernet) or any device used to access ▇▇▇▇ ISD’s Network is prohibited unless special permission is granted from the Technology Department. Only after the device is deemed to be of minimal or NO security risk to the ▇▇▇▇ ISD Network, will such permission be granted. • You may not download or install software without permission from the Technology Department. • On district-supplied computer hardware, you must not change the operating system configuration or install new software. If such changes are required, they will be performed by Technology Department.
