REST/MEAL BREAKS. A. All employees shall receive a fifteen (15) minute break for each four (4) hours worked, in addition to their lunch break. Lunch break shall be on the employees' own time. Employees working three (3) or more hours longer than a normal workday shall be allowed at least one (1) thirty (30) minute unpaid meal period prior to or during the overtime period. Where the nature of the work allows employees to take intermittent rest periods equivalent to fifteen (15) minutes for each four (4) hours worked, scheduled rest breaks are not required. Breaks may not be collected or not taken in order to shorten the workday or workweek. B. Employees who because of the nature of their work are required to eat their lunch at their work station shall be provided a paid meal period. Employees whose meal period is normally unpaid who are required at the supervisor’s direction to work through their lunch and who are not provided a meal period may be paid overtime (per Article 5.4) for the time worked or the day or workweek adjusted.
