Common use of Restrictions on Use of Personal Leave Clause in Contracts

Restrictions on Use of Personal Leave. Except for emergency absence, personal leave may not be taken at the following times, unless otherwise approved by the Superintendent or his/her designee: 1. On the last work day before or the first work day after any holiday or scheduled break. 2. Calendar scheduled school conferences. 3. During the five (5) calendar days immediately prior to and the five (5) calendar day period immediately after the opening or closing of any school year. Any abuse of the personal leave benefits may constitute just cause for disciplinary action.
