Application for Sabbatical Leave a. The application for sabbatical leave shall be made on a prescribed form and shall present evidence of satisfactory service, reason for desiring leave, length of leave, and any other data which may provide an adequate basis for granting the leave. The Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources or designee shall call a meeting of the Sabbatical Leave Committee, or a minimum of four (4) members of the committee may call for a meeting. Board action on the applications shall take place within forty-five (45) calendar days from above deadline date for application to the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources or designee. c. Upon the granting of a sabbatical leave by the Board of Education, a formal agreement shall be completed covering all aspects of the leave; such as, length of time, effective dates, number of units to be carried, services required after termination of leave, types of reports to be made to the Board, salary to be paid and manner of payment.
