salary grid placement Sample Clauses
A salary grid placement clause defines how an employee's starting salary is determined based on a structured pay scale. Typically, this clause outlines the criteria for placing new hires or promoted employees at a specific step or level within the salary grid, such as years of experience, education, or relevant qualifications. By establishing clear guidelines for salary placement, the clause ensures consistency, fairness, and transparency in compensation decisions, reducing disputes and supporting equitable pay practices.
