Common use of Scheduling PTO Clause in Contracts

Scheduling PTO. On or before January 1st of each year, employees are invited to express their preference as to PTO time by seniority in full weeks. After full weeks are selected, employees may select single or partial days by seniority. In assigning PTO, the Company, insofar as feasible, will comply with the request, giving preference to requests of senior employees. PTO selections must be given to the immediate supervisor on or before January 31st. PTO will be approved by February 15th. PTO not scheduled during the initial selection process will be available on a first come first serve basis. Employees may carry over up to 120 hours of PTO from year to year.
