Work Scheduling. Except at the request of an affected employee, no employee shall have the number of hours they are normally scheduled to work reduced as the result of the use of non-permanent employees such as, but not limited to: seasonal, intermittent, student interns, interns, interim, established term, or temporary employees, due to the performance of such employee’s duties by the nonpermanent employee.
Work Scheduling. A. The standard number of working hours during any standard work week will normally be 40 hours, except as noted in Appendix III.
B. The normal work week shall consist of no more than five consecutive days of work at the regular rate of pay.
C. Employees shall be entitled to two days off at the completion of the standard work week.
D. Where weekend work is a practice, the Board shall make every effort to rotate schedules to distribute weekend assignments equally.
E. Work schedules will not be altered by changing the number of hours per day to avoid the payment of overtime. Work schedules may be altered due to emergency conditions or factors beyond the Board's control. It is understood and agreed to that, should it become necessary to establish a regular work schedule which includes Saturdays, negotiations may be reopened on this issue. It is understood that these negotiations will precede implementation of the decision. The right to utilize the four-day, 10-hour work schedule is expressly reserved to management and adoption of such schedule for any unit member shall not be considered an avoidance of overtime. Such schedule shall be for four consecutive days. Wherever a 10-hour day schedule is adopted, the workday shall consist of 10 consecutive hours, exclusive of the meal period. This schedule change may be implemented by the Board after notification to the Union. Employees affected shall be given not less than two weeks' notice of the change in schedule.
F. Employees shall not be required to report to work prior to the established starting time nor be compelled to work beyond their scheduled workday, unless they are compensated for such additional time.
G. Whenever possible, management will schedule and conduct informational/update workshops for bus drivers and bus aides to coincide with regularly-scheduled teacher planning days. Any such workshop held prior to school opening will coincide with a teacher planning day.
H. Whenever possible, employees affected by a permanent change in their work location, due to work load adjustments, shall be given no less than two weeks' notification of such change.

Work Scheduling. All work performed under the resulting Mini-bid Agreement shall be coordinated with the Authorized User Representative in advance (prior to arrival at the facility) to ensure that the Lift Equipment is available and that access to the site can be provided. In addition, when arriving at the Facility, all Contract personnel shall report to the Authorized User Representative in such a manner as pre-determined by the Authorized User Representative, and when exiting the facility, the Contractor’s personnel shall again report to the Authorized User’s Representative. Such attendance and reporting shall be documented in a manner defined by the Authorized User. Should it be required to remove Lift Equipment from service, the elevator mechanic shall coordinate the removal with the Authorized User Representative. The number(s) of Lift Equipment units removed from service at one time shall be pre- approved by the Authorized User Representative, and typically not more than one (1) Lift Equipment unit shall be removed from service at a time. The time of day that each Lift Equipment unit can be shut down for routine maintenance shall be scheduled with the Authorized User Representative to minimize the disruption caused by the Lift Equipment being out of service. In instances where the performance of the service requires the Lift Equipment to be out of service for a period exceeding sixty (60) minutes, the Contractor shall notify the Authorized User Representative. The Contractor shall provide to the Authorized User Representative the reason for keeping the Lift Equipment out of service for longer than sixty (60) minutes, and the estimated timeframe to return the Lift Equipment back to service. If Lift Equipment designated as essential is out of service for a period exceeding sixty (60) minutes, the Authorized User Representative may designate alternate Lift Equipment as essential through notification of the Contractor, and this designation shall remain in effect until all Lift Equipment is placed back in service.
Work Scheduling. In accordance with Schedule 4 of the 2016 TCS, the purpose of your work schedule at Appendix 1 is to set out in clear and transparent terms the service commitments expected of you while in the post, and the parts of your training curriculum which can be achieved in the post. Additionally, you will be required to meet with your educational supervisor to agree and to include in your personalised work schedule other objectives that should reasonably be covered during this employment. The work schedule is not contractually binding in itself, but you have a duty to make all reasonable efforts to follow it. The process for discussion and review of work schedules is set out in Schedules 4 and 5 of the 2016 TCS. Scheduling of Activities The work schedule will set out the hours and range of activities that are necessary to fulfil your duties and responsibilities under this Contract, and include the duration and locations at which these activities are scheduled to take place. Additional hours (up to the maximum set out in Schedule 3 of the TCS) may be contracted for separately from time to time. The rates for basic pay at Appendix 2 of this Contract. Any variations in your scheduled weekly commitments should be averaged out over the length of the rota cycle, the length of your placement or 26 weeks, whichever is shorter, so that your average commitment is consistent with the provisions of the Working Time Regulations 1998 as amended from time to time. Where emergency work takes place at regular and predictable times and / or in predictable amounts, it will be accounted for prospectively within the work schedule. You may be required to participate in an on-call rota to respond to unpredictable emergencies. Where you have approved external duties included in your work schedule, you will provide six weeks’ written notice to your employer of the dates upon which the external duties will be carried out. Shorter notice periods may be agreed by local arrangement or by agreement between you and your manager. The 2016 TCS, Schedule 3, outlines contractual limits on working hours and rest periods. While in this employment, you should not ordinarily undertake work outside of this Contract. Where you do wish to undertake any such work as a locum, you must first offer your services to the NHS as set out in the paragraphs pertaining to locum work in Schedule 3 of the TCS. Work Scheduling. The Employer will schedule all work subject to the following:
a. Except by mutual consent, employees will be provided one (1) hour for lunch between 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and/or one (1) hour for dinner between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
b. If employees are assigned to teach a course, their normal schedule for Non-Classroom Faculty duties will be adjusted or they will receive overload compensation. In either case, the I.U.'s of the course assignment will be used as the basis for adjusting the work schedule or determining overload compensation.
c. If Non-Classroom Faculty participate in College committee activities or in other working groups, their regularly scheduled duties will be adjusted to allow time to perform such activities. The Employer will not be required to allow more than an average of three (3) hours each work week for all such assignments.

1. Employees will not be required to teach more than three (3) consecutive lecture/discussion, composition or seminar class periods or have more than four and one-half (4 ½) clock hours of other instruction without a break of at least one-half (1/2) hour, except by agreement of the employees.
2. Employees will not be assigned a class before 9:30 a.m. on a day following a day a class assignment extended beyond 7:30 p.m., except by mutual agreement of the employees.
3. Classes which begin after 5:00 p.m. will be scheduled on an equitable basis subject to student needs and availability of qualified instructors. As a general guideline, employees will not be scheduled to teach more than five
Work Scheduling. Except for employees covered under the provisions of Article 12.02 and 12.06, the following provisions will be applicable to all employees:
(a) Employee work schedules (i.e. start/stop times) will be established so as to provide for adequate coverage during business hours.
(b) Work schedules will be prepared and posted within the department for sign-up by employees on a seniority basis.
(c) Work schedules will cover periods of not less than three (3) calendar months.
(d) Employees will be provided not less than two (2) clear weeks notice of schedule changes prior to the effective date of implementation, except for individual adjustments that may occur on a voluntary basis as a result of employee attrition or absence.

c. Classes which begin after 5:00 p.m. will be scheduled on an equitable basis subject to student needs and availability of qualified instructors. As a general guideline, employees will not be scheduled to teach more than five (5) night classes during the work year.
d. Reasonable effort will be made to provide employees forty-five (45) minutes for lunch between 10:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. and/or forty five (45) minutes for dinner between 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
e. Employees shall be provided with three (3) work days notice of meetings where attendance is required.
f. Except in the first two (2) years at the College, or by mutual agreement, employees will be given thirty (30) calendar days prior notice if they are assigned, or may be assigned, to teach a course they have not taught at the College within the preceding two (2) years. In the event employees are assigned two (2) or more courses they have not taught for one calendar year, they shall be given not less than sixty (60) calendar days prior notice.
g. Employees may refuse an assignment in the fall semester which causes their work load to exceed eighteen and one-half (18 1/2) I.U. or any assignment which causes their work load for the year to exceed thirty-one
Work Scheduling. The scheduling of the hours and the work days shall be at the sole discretion of the District. The number and specific scheduling of work days for unit members shall be fixed annually by the District and shall appear on the individual’s annual Notice of Employment, which will be distributed no later than September 1st.
Work Scheduling a. Management shall determine the work schedules that are necessary to cover the required work after obtaining suggestions from staff on preferable work schedules.
b. Regular status full time staff shall bid on shift and days off every six (6) months bidding the same time as security. Bidding shall be by seniority. Schedules shall be posted thirty (30) calendar days before the actual bid. Each RN shall have ten
