Section 7.3.3. 16 The third shift shall consist of seven and one-half (7-1/2) hours for eight (8) hours 17 compensation, including a thirty (30) minute uninterrupted lunch period as near the middle of 18 the shift as is practicable, and also including a fifteen (15) minute first half and a fifteen (15) 19 minute second half rest period, both of which rest periods shall occur as near the middle of each 20 half shift as is practicable.
Section 7.3.3. 10 Each employee working eight (8) hours per workday shall receive a forty (40) minute duty free 11 lunch with no compensation and two 10-minute rest periods. 12
Section 7.3.3. 43 At the time of separation from school District employment due to retirement or death, an 44 eligible employee or the employee’s estate shall receive remuneration at a rate equal to one (1) 45 day’s current monetary compensation for each four (4) full day’s accrued leave for illness or 46 injury.
Section 7.3.3. 16 Tuesday through Saturday Work Week for Mechanics. A Tuesday through Saturday work 17 week will be in effect for mechanics during the months of September through June. The 18 transportation department will seek at least two (2) volunteers to work the Tuesday through 19 Saturday work week prior to the beginning of the new school year. If there are no volunteers, 20 employees will be assigned by the Transportation Director. All assignments to a Tuesday 21 through Saturday work week will be done by seniority in compliance with Article X of this 22 Agreement. Saturday shift hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including one-half (½) 23 hour for lunch, which will not be counted for pay purposes. Employees who work swing shift 24 on Tuesday through Friday and who also work the Saturday shift will continue to be paid the 25 swing shift differential pay for the Saturday consistent with their Tuesday through Friday shift.
Section 7.3.3. 21 The length of shifts in the foregoing sections shall apply to 1.0 FTE employees only.

Section 7.3.3. 28 In accordance with Washington State law, sick leave may be used to care for a child of the 29 employee with a health condition that requires treatment or supervision or for a spouse, parent, 30 parent-in-law, or grandparent of the employee who has a serious health condition or an 31 emergency condition in accordance with state or federal law. The parties agree that the 32 provision(s) in law which most benefits the employee shall be available to the employee. Such 33 leave may be utilized up to the limit of accumulated sick leave days.
