The Selective Certification clause allows a party, typically an employer or certifying authority, to certify only specific individuals or items from a larger group based on predetermined criteria. In practice, this means that not all candidates or products are automatically approved; instead, only those meeting certain qualifications or standards are selected for certification. This clause helps ensure that only the most suitable or compliant options are endorsed, thereby maintaining quality control and reducing the risk of unqualified approvals.
Selective Certification. For classifications represented by the Union, the City will notify the Union and provide a statement of reasons for such qualifications and experience at least ten (10) working days in advance of the job announcement being posted and provide the Union five (5) work days to request to consult with the City.

Selective Certification. If a position within a classification requires a special skill, license, or language requirement, pursuant to Rule 30.2.10, the Director of Classified Personnel shall determine which eligibles possess the required skill, license, or language and shall certify the names of the first three (3 ranks of eligibles who meet the special requirements. If there are insufficient eligibles to meet the special requirements and who are ready and willing to accept the position, a provisional appointment may be made, pending completion of a recruitment and examination process to fill the position. Selective Certification. A position which has been approved for selective certification for special skills pertaining to bilingual ability or cultural knowledge, in accordance with Civil Service Rule 7.9, shall be treated as if it is in a separate class for purposes of applying seniority, layoff, and reemployment rights under Article XIV of this Agreement. All positions which are approved for the special skill shall be treated as if they are in the same class.

  • OFAC Certification Company certifies that (i) it is not acting on behalf of any person, group, entity, or nation named by any Executive Order or the United States Treasury Department, through its Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”) or otherwise, as a terrorist, “Specially Designated Nation”, “Blocked Person”, or other banned or blocked person, entity, nation, or transaction pursuant to any law, order, rule or regulation that is enforced or administered by OFAC or another department of the United States government, and (ii) Company is not engaged in this transaction on behalf of, or instigating or facilitating this transaction on behalf of, any such person, group, entity or nation.

  • Professional Certification The Superintendent shall at all times during the term of this Contract, and any renewal or extension thereof, hold and maintain a valid certificate required of a superintendent by the State of Texas and issued by the State Board for Educator Certification or the Texas Education Agency and any other certificates required by law.

  • CLEC Certification 8.1 Notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement, CenturyLink shall have no obligation to perform under this Agreement until such time as CLEC has obtained such FCC and Commission authorization(s) as may be required by Applicable Law for conducting business in the State as a competitive local exchange carrier. CLEC shall not be permitted to establish its account nor place any orders under this Agreement until it has obtained such authorization and provided proof of such to CenturyLink. For the life of this Agreement, CLEC must represent and warrant to CenturyLink that it remains a certified local provider of Telephone Exchange Service within CenturyLink’s Local Calling Area(s) in the State. At any time during the life of this Agreement, CLEC will provide a copy of its current Certificate of Operating Authority or other evidence of its status to CenturyLink upon request. CLEC’s failure to maintain such authorization(s) as may be required by Applicable Law for conducting business in the State as a CLEC shall be considered a Default of Agreement.

  • Termination Related to Statutory Certifications At the Department’s option, the Term Contract may be terminated if the Contractor is placed on any of the lists referenced in the attached PUR 7801, Vendor Certification Form, or would otherwise be prohibited from entering into or renewing the Term Contract based on the statutory provisions referenced therein.

  • Labor Certification By its signature hereunder, Consultant certifies that it is aware of the provisions of Section 3700 of the California Labor Code which require every employer to be insured against liability for Workers’ Compensation or to undertake self-insurance in accordance with the provisions of that Code, and agrees to comply with such provisions before commencing the performance of the Services.
