Stand-by. c(ii) Stand-by on weekends commences at the quitting time on the last regular working day prior to a weekend and terminates at the regular starting time of the next regular working day.
(iii) An employee who is scheduled for stand-by shall be entitled to receive two (2) hours of pay at their standard hourly rate for each weekday night so scheduled and shall be entitled to three (3) hours of pay at their standard hourly rate for each scheduled day off and each Statutory and Proclaimed holiday.
(d) Without restricting the meaning of this Article, stand-by shall be scheduled and assigned as follows:
(i) Employees shall be deemed authorized to perform stand-by only when furnished with a prior posted stand-by schedule by their immediate Supervisor or designate
(ii) An employee who is confirmed on the stand-by schedule and who is called to perform stand-by duties and who does not report, shall not be paid the stand-by rates. Vacancies on the stand-by schedule will be offered in seniority order. Vacancies that require filling will be filled by reverse seniority.
(e) It is expressly understood that those employees who are placed on stand-by shall be the first to be called in, in seniority order by their specific job classification, by reporting location to perform any overtime work for which they are on the posted stand-by schedule to perform that arises during the period of time that they are on stand-by.
(f) All employees designated by the Employer to be on stand-by who are called in to perform duties will be paid in accordance with article 19.02
(g) Where an employee is scheduled for stand-by they may trade their scheduled stand-by with another employee within their specific job classification. All trades shall be approved by the Employer and all approvals shall not be unreasonably withheld. The employee must remain within one (1) hour travel time of the Municipal Offices in the Town of Lincoln and is required to report for duty or perform work while on standby must complete the required work for which the employee was called back, notwithstanding that the completion of the work may extend beyond the employee’s portion of the split standby period.
d) There shall be no increased costs received by the Employer as a result of the standby periods being split by employees.

Stand-by. In the event there is a sufficient number of qualified volunteers, the Company will not mandate any further stand-by duty assignments. In the event there is an insufficient number of qualified volunteers, the Company may then require employees to serve on standby during offstand-duty hours, an employee shall be compensated at the rate of one hour at straight time for each four hour period or portion thereof of designated standby dutyby.

During the required work for which the employee was called back, notwithstanding that the completion period of the work may extend beyond the employee’s portion of the split standby period.
d) There shall be no increased costs received by the Employer as a result of the standby periods being split by employees.
C5.03 An employee designated to be on standby duty will be provided with a pager or other communication device enabling immediate contact. When contactedstand-by, the employee will respond be available to take all calls and will, when required, report for duty to a job site as quickly as possibleneeded.
C5.04 No standby duty payment shall 51.03 Employees who are designated for stand-by will be payable if utilized in any company location where he/she is qualified to perform the work and must participate in the Home Garage Program during the stand-by period. For example, a technician with a Johnson City reporting location may be on stand-by for other areas depending upon where the need arises and the equipment involved. Additionally, employees may be required to diagnose problems which are outside the area of their responsibility.
51.04 The “Stand-by Technician” will be contacted by telephone and will be available to respond to the trouble within an hour. “Stand-by Technicians” will also be available within one (1) hour for non-connecting call-outs. If called upon to respond for any exchange or work location outside of the responding technician’s regular home exchange/work location, response time will be two (2) hours.
51.05 During periods of stand-by, the employee may be assigned a vehicle for business purposes only. If assigned a vehicle, the vehicle must be kept at the employee’s place of residence and parked off the public street when possible. If the vehicle cannot be contacted kept at the employee’s place of residence due to an ordinance or fails to respond other regulation, it may be parked at the nearest Company-approved location(s). Employees on stand-by are responsible for ensuring Company vehicles are properly maintained. The Company will pay for all required vehicle maintenance.
51.06 Travel time (for the stand-by program) between an employee’s residence and the work center, or between the employee’s first/last work assignment, will be paid at the appropriate rates. This is unable true whether or not the employee is in a company vehicle.
51.07 It is the responsibility of all technicians on call-out to report completion of a case of trouble. This will clear the technician for dutyadditional call-outs in the system, unless and allow the inability customer to be given a status of trouble report if required.
51.08 The technicians will be paid a differential of $40 per day for being on Stand-by and $55.00 for weekend days and holidays. This payment is beyond not considered as time worked and does not count towards the control computation of daily or weekly overtime. This payment will be in addition to any call-out pay the technician may earn.
51.09 The stand-by period can be for a normal five (5) day work week, and/or two (2) day weekend or Holiday. Occasional stand-by periods for other lengths of time may be required under unusual, special circumstances or upon service requirements. The assignment of stand-by periods will be at the discretion of the employeeCompany.

When contacted, up to the employee will respond and will, when required, report if they want a take home vehicle for duty as quickly as possible.
C5.04 No standby duty payment shall be payable if their stand-by assignment. If the employee canchooses to utilize the take home vehicle they will be responsible for picking up or returning the vehicle on their own time if their assignment starts or ends at a time when they are not scheduled to work. Any vehicle authorized for take home is limited to short term use, and, in line with Fleet Policies as posted on Horizons, an authorization must be contacted or fails filed with Fleet Services. Employees responding to respond or is unable to report for duty, unless the inability to report is beyond the control of the employee.
C5.05 Employees who are required to report for duty or perform work while on standby duty a call-out will be compensated in accordance with Article 9.4 (Distribution of Overtime). Employees who decline a Stand-by assignment or who complete the provisions of Article C-6, Call-Back.

In LUT Operations, if an employee on Stand-by fails to respond to the supervisor’s call or cannot be reached, the employee will be placed in coaching status for one year, and they will not be eligible for the Stand-by pay for the stand-by they were on at the time, to reflect that they were not actually available on stand-by. If an employee on Stand-by fails to respond to the supervisor’s call or cannot be reached while in coaching status, the employee’s name will be removed from the Stand-by list for six (6) months, and they will not be eligible for the Stand-by pay for the stand-by they were on at the time, to reflect that they were not actually available on Stand-by. If the employee contacts the supervisor within ten (10) minutes of the scheduleinitial call, the employee will be considered to have responded. An employee who is unable to perform the control full scope of the Employer, changes required duties due to modified duty or other documented work-related restriction will not be eligible for the assignment and will not rotate to the posted standby schedule must bottom of the Stand-by list. Notification of the opportunity for a Stand-by assignment will be made after as soon as possible. Stand-by assignments will be for a duration of seven (7) days, commencing on Monday at the standby schedule has been postedstart of the employee’s shift and ending on the following Monday at the start of their shift. Time spent working a regular shift will not be considered Stand-by time. The County shall have the right to assign Stand-by duty in the event there are not enough volunteers. Such assignment will be rotated among qualified employees, starting with the least senior qualified employee(s). Fleet and ETS shall follow the order of their annual rotating list.
