Statutory Overtime. Statutory overtime for the non-exempt employee is defined as all hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in a regular seven (7) day work period.

Work Period For the purpose of calculating overtime pursuant to the requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act ("FLSA"), the County has declared a twenty-eight (28) day work period for all bargaining unit classifications eligible for the partial overtime exemption under section 207(k) of the FLSA. The work period commences at 12:01 a.m. Sunday and ends at 11:59 p.m. Saturday, twenty-eight (28) consecutive days later. The classifications subject to the 207(k) partial exemption are as follows: Custodial Sergeant ▇▇▇▇ Lieutenant Sheriff’s Sergeant All non-exempt bargaining unit classifications not listed above shall have a seven (7) day work period and be eligible for statutory overtime for all hours actually worked in excess of forty (40) in the seven (7) day work period.
