STEWARDS AND ALTERNATE STEWARDS. The employees making up the aforementioned group to be represented by the Union may select one ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ for the whole of the School District. Such selection shall, however, be subject to the following conditions A. The ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or local union officer shall be a regular employee working in and for the School District. B. Subject to all the provisions of this Article and the subparagraphs hereof, the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ may during his/her working hours without loss of time or pay, investigate or present any grievance to the School District. No ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall leave his/her place of employment without having first advised the principal of the school within which he/she is working or the Superintendent of Schools as to his/her intention to leave his/her place of employment. C. No ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall be absent from his/her place of employment for more than one (1 ) hour at any one time without specific permission of the Superintendent of Schools, or his designee. D. In every case requiring the absence of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ from his/her place of employment during regular working hours he/she may be asked before the end of the next succeeding working day to make a report in writing to the principal or superintendent; which shall show, among other pertinent facts, what alleged grievance he/she investigated; what persons were involved; where he/she went, the hour during which he/she was absent from his/her regular place of employment; and what action, if any, was taken. E. Notwithstanding any other terms of this Article or the subparagraphs hereof, the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ whenever possible shall have the responsibility of performing the whole of his/her regularly assigned work within the time limits during which such work should be performed or completed. F. The privilege hereby granted to the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or a local officer to leave he/her place of work during working hours is conditioned always upon the understanding that the time will be devoted solely to the proper investigation and presentation of genuine bona fide grievances. Any abuse of this privilege granted hereby shall be sufficient cause for the School District to cancel all rights of any ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ to leave his/her work during normal work hours.

The supervisor shall have the responsibility of performing the whole of his/her regularly assigned work grant permission within the time limits during which such work should be performed or completed. F. The privilege hereby granted to the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or a local officer to leave he/her place shift of work during working hours is conditioned always upon the understanding that the time will be devoted solely to the proper investigation and presentation of genuine bona fide grievances. Any abuse of this privilege granted hereby shall be sufficient cause occurrence for the School District to cancel all rights of any ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ to leave his/her his work for these purposes subject to necessary emergency exceptions. Contact by telephone may be used when convenient and agreed to by mutual consent. The privilege of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ leaving his work during normal working hours without loss of time or pay is subject to the understanding that the time will be devoted to the proper processing of grievances and will not be abused. Employee abusing such time may be subject to disciplinary action. The Sheriff may request to have time spent on grievances and other procedural union matters documented. The ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and alternate ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ will be required to record time spent on a form provided by management. All such stewards will perform their regular assigned work hoursat all times except whenever necessary to leave their work to process grievances as provided herein. Section 3. The Union will furnish, in writing, to the Employer the names of its authorized representatives who are employed within the unit and such changes as may occur from time to time in such personnel so that the Employer may at all times be advised as to the authority of the individual representative of the Union with which it may be dealing. Section 4. In addition to the above stewards, employees in the POAM (Non-312) bargaining unit may be represented by one (1) of the members of the Local Executive Board who is elected by the membership and will have the necessary time to act in his Union capacity without loss of pay where in so acting he loses time from his regular schedule of work. He will serve in all special conferences and will handle grievances. He shall request permission of his immediate supervisor when leaving his work area and such permission shall be granted to attend meetings in accordance with the above provisions. This time will not be abused.

No designated ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall leave his/her place represent all the employees working in that representative department. The stewards shall be employees with at least one (1) year of employment without having first advised the principal of the school within which he/she is working or the Superintendent of Schools as to his/her intention to leave his/her place of employment. C. No seniority. One (1) ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall be absent called the Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. Section B. The Union will furnish the District with the names of its stewards by not later than February 15th. and such changes as may occur from his/her place of employment for more than one (1 ) hour time to time in such personnel so that the district may at any one time without specific permission all times be advised as to the authority of the Superintendent individual representatives of Schoolsthe Union with whom it may be dealing. Until the district has received written notice from the Union, or his designeeit shall not be required to deal with such employees purporting to be representatives. D. Section C. It is understood that grievance problems shall be handled at times other than when the employee is at work. In every case requiring the absence event, however, in the handling of a grievance it becomes necessary for the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ to leave his work, he shall first obtain permission from his supervisor or principal. The privilege of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ from his/her place of employment leaving his work during regular working hours he/she may without loss of time or pay is subject to the understanding that such time shall be asked before devoted to the end proper handling of the next succeeding working day to make a report in writing to grievance; this will be done as expediently and with as little interruption of work as possible; they must not leave their work stations unattended, and this privilege will not be abused. Any alleged abuse will be grounds for disciplinary action and/or the principal or superintendent; which shall show, among other pertinent facts, what alleged grievance he/she investigated; what persons were involved; where he/she went, discontinuation of the hour during which he/she was absent from his/her regular place of employment; and what action, if any, was takenabove-mentioned privilege by said individual. E. Notwithstanding any other terms of this Article or the subparagraphs hereof, Section D. If the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ whenever possible shall have is required to go into another building other than his own in the handling of a grievance, the principal at both buildings (or all buildings involved) must be notified and permission received; permission will be granted provided that it does not interfere with or interrupt or affect normal work or school operations or assigned duties. It is the responsibility of performing the whole above-mentioned ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ to report to the building principal before their conference with any employee. If, in the opinion of his/her regularly the principal or the immediate supervisor of the Union member, such Union activity is interfering with classroom activity or assigned work within the time limits during which duties, such work should Union activity must be performed or completeddiscontinued immediately.
