Study Leave. Study leave may be granted by employers only to permanent, full-time employees subject to the following conditions:
9.17.1 Approval for study leave shall be granted at the employer’s discretion, which approval shall not be withheld unreasonably.
Study Leave. 4.8.1 Any teacher who applies for and is awarded one of the 75 full-time equivalent Study Awards, available nationally each year to all primary teachers and principals, shall be granted leave on pay for the period of the study. The priorities for the awarding of the study awards shall be as determined by the Ministry of Education after consultation with the NZEI Te Riu Roa.
4.8.2 In allocating study awards the good employer requirements of s77A of the State Sector Act 1988 shall be considered.

In recognition that Ministers need extended time away from the stresses and demands of daily congregational life to deepen their calling and develop their skills, the Minister will have four weeks (or the equivalent number of working days) of study leave per year. The Minister is working during Study Leave. Should a Congregational emergency arise requiring the Minister’s return from study leave, all reasonable costs of such return will be borne by the Congregation. Study leave is not paid out upon termination.

Study Leave. The Board may grant, upon written application, a leave of absence for study. The employee may request one full year for such leave. If the employee does not wish a one year leave s/he may use up to a total of fifteen (15) days in any single year for study leave provided that such leave will not be granted more than three (3) times in a single year even if all fifteen (15) days have not been used.
Study Leave if granted by the employer, shall be for a maximum of two subjects per annum.
Study Leave. Funding is accessed by doctors in secondary care regardless of whether a post receives tariff Funding or is funded by the Placement Provider. Funding for study leave is top sliced from those posts funded via the postgraduate medical tariff and redistributed equitably across HEE local offices based on the total number of Learners in post. For posts funded outside of tariff, separate Funding arrangements for study leave are in place – including primary care, dental and public health training.
Study Leave. Where study leave has been approved by the employer, credits will be given for education commitments falling within the ordinary hours of duty and for which "time off" is necessary to allow for attendance at formal classes.
Study Leave. After one (1) year of continuous employment, permission may be granted for leave of absence without pay for job related study, without loss of accrued benefits, providing such leave does not jeopardize hospital services.
