The TEACHER LIST clause defines the specific individuals who are authorized to provide teaching services under the agreement. Typically, this clause requires the parties to agree on a list of teachers, which may be attached as a schedule or appendix, and may also outline procedures for updating or replacing teachers if necessary. Its core practical function is to ensure clarity and mutual understanding about who is permitted to deliver instruction, thereby preventing disputes over unauthorized personnel and maintaining quality control.
TEACHER LIST. The District shall provide the Association a list of all teachers covered under the collective bargaining agreement upon request of the Association, but not more than once per month.
TEACHER LIST. The Board shall establish an Occasional Teachers' List. This list shall mean the total of any sub-lists kept by the Board's Human Resources Department. To be eligible for inclusion on the Occasional Teachers' List, an Occasional Teacher must satisfy the requirements of the Ontario College of Teachers, the Education Act, and the regulations. Prior to being placed on the Occasional Teachers' List, an applicant must submit proof of certification and all other required documentation. In order for an Occasional Teacher to be accepted for placement on the Occasional Teachers' List, the Occasional Teacher shall: select a geographic area or geographic areas elect to be placed on a "Specialty List" provided the Occasional Teacher holds the appropriate qualifications and/or select one or more of the following divisions: primary junior intermediate-elementary intermediate-secondary and senior specify days and time of availability specify subject preferences An Occasional Teacher may be removed from the Occasional Teacher list after the third consecutive refusal or cancellation of an assignment as outlined in Article A refusal of any Long Term Occasional assignment by an Occasional Teacher shall not prejudice their right to further Long Term Occasional positions as they become available in the current school year. The Human Resources Department will send a Renewal Form to Occasional Teachers who were on the Occasional Teacher List during the previous school year and who taught for the Board in the previous year. This form must be completed and returned to the Human Resources Department by August of each year if wishes their status to remain active. New applicants for the Occasional Teacher List for the upcoming school year, who meet the requirements of clauses and must submit their application by August 15th to be placed on the Occasional Teacher List for that school year. The Board may consider applications received after the above date for inclusion on the Occasional Teacher List.
TEACHER LIST. An Occasional Teacher must be qualified to teach in Ontario, and hold a current Certificate of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers to be eligible for inclusion on the Occasional Teacher List. The maximum number of Casual Occasional Teachers shall be of the number of full-time elementary teachers employed by the Board as of September of each school year, plus all Extended or Long Term Occasional Teachers. The maximum number of Occasional Teachers is therefore dependent upon the number of Elementary Teachers employed by the Board, In the event that an unusually high number of Occasional Teachers are employed in Extended or Long Term assignments at a given point in time, the Board may request of the Union that the number of names on the list be increased in order to maintain a sufficient pool of names for casual assignments. Pursuant to such a request, the number of names on the list may be increased, but only with the written consent of the Union, and only to the extent that the Union permits. The Union has the right to stipulate that, as of a date of its choosing, no new names may be added until the number of names on the list falls below the original number. Additions to the Occasional Teachers’ List shall be made during or after September for the current school year and from time to time as the need arises in consultation with the Union. Such additions will address the emergent geographic, subject area, and grade level needs. The Master List shall provide a summary of the data on the Agreement to Teach Form including, but not limited to, the following information for each Occasional Teacher: name, telephone number, subjects that the Occasional Teacher is qualified to teach, number of days or specific days of the week the Occasional Teacher is available to work, and specific schools where the Occasional Teacher has been assigned, Long Term teaching assignments and the expected expiry date of the said assignments, Home School designation, and interest in long term or contract positions.

TEACHER LIST. Between June and July of each year, those occasional teachers wishing to remain on the Occasional Teacher List for the subsequent school year will complete an Offense Declaration form available on the District School Board of Employee Portal. This requirement will be displayed and heard on the Substitute Employee Management System

The Board will advise the Local Occasional Teachers' Union, with a copy to the Local Occasional Teachers' President, of the names and addresses of all new Occasional Teachers within thirty days of their names being added to the Occasional Teacher List.
