Technical Barriers to Trade. 1. The Parties or Signatory Parties shall apply technical regulations, standards and conformity assessment procedures in accordance with the provisions of the WTO Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade.
2. The Parties or Signatory Parties shall cooperate in the fields of technical regulations, standardization and conformity assessment procedures, with the aim of facilitating trade.
Technical Barriers to Trade. 1. The rights and obligations of the Contracting Parties, relating to standards or technical regulations and the respective measures, shall be governed by the WTO Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade.
2. The Contracting Parties shall cooperate and exchange information in the field of standardization, metrology, conformity assessment and accreditation, with the aim of eliminating technical barriers to trade.
3. Each Contacting party, upon a request from the other Contracting Party, shall submit information on particular individual cases of standards, technical rules or similar measures.
Technical Barriers to Trade. 1. Except as otherwise provided for in this Article, with respect to technical regulations, standards and conformity assessments, the WTO Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade (hereinafter referred to as the "TBT Agreement") shall apply and is hereby incorporated and made part of this Agreement, mutatis mutandis.
2. Each Party shall designate a contact point, in order to facilitate communication and the exchange of information in the field of technical barriers to trade.
Technical Barriers to Trade. 1. The Parties shall promote the use of international standards and cooperate and exchange information on standards, technical regulations, and conformity assessment procedures, especially within the framework of the WTO Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT).
2. The Parties endeavour to exchange information from early stages of formulating new legislation in the TBT field. To this end, the Parties shall encourage any measures aiming at bridging the gaps between them in the area of conformity assessment and standardisation and improving the convergence and compatibility between the respective systems of the Parties in this area. The Parties agree to exchange views on, and to explore the possibility to apply, third party certification with a view to facilitate the flows of trade between them.
3. Cooperation in technical barriers to trade shall be undertaken, inter alia, through dialogue in appropriate channels, joint projects, technical assistance and capacity-building programmes. The Parties shall designate, when necessary, contact points for communication on issues under this Article.
Technical Barriers to Trade. 3.1 Signatories note that the provisions of the Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade apply to trade in civil aircraft. In addition, Signatories agree that civil aircraft certification requirements and specifications on operating and maintenance procedures shall be governed, as between Signatories, by the Provisions of the Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade.
Technical Barriers to Trade. 1. The Parties agree that cooperation on standards, technical regulations and conformity assessments is a key objective for the development of trade.
2. The Parties shall promote the use of international standards and cooperate and exchange information on standards, conformity assessment procedures and technical regulations, especially within the framework of the WTO Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT). To this end, the Parties agree to establish a timely dialogue on TBT issues upon request of either Party and designate contact points for communication on matters under this Article.
3. Cooperation on TBT may be undertaken, inter alia, through dialogue, joint projects, technical assistance and capacity-building programmes.
Technical Barriers to Trade. 1. The Parties shall promote the use of international standards and international accreditation schemes, and shall exchange information on standards, technical regulations and conformity assessment procedures, including within the framework of the WTO Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT), which entered into force with the establishment of the WTO on 1 January 1995.
2. The Parties shall strengthen their cooperation in the field of standards, technical regulations and conformity assessment procedures, including technical capacity-building and cooperation with a view to complying with TBT measures.
3. The Parties shall designate a contact point to coordinate the exchange of information and cooperation in accordance with this Article as well as to facilitate efforts in regulatory cooperation between the Parties.
Technical Barriers to Trade. The Parties agree to apply the provisions of Appendix VI on Technical Barriers to Trade.
Technical Barriers to Trade. 1. Member States shall apply product standards and technical regulations in accordance with the WTO Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade.
2. Member States shall strive to harmonize product standards and technical regulations within the Common Customs Area.
Technical Barriers to Trade. 1. The Parties reaffirm their rights and obligations under the WTO Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT Agreement).
2. The Parties shall develop programs for technical cooperation aimed at achieving full and effective compliance with the obligations set forth in the TBT Agreement. To this end, the Parties shall encourage their competent authorities in the area of technical regulations, conformity assessment procedures and standards, to undertake the following activities:
(a) Promote bilateral institutional and regulatory information exchange and technical cooperation;
(b) Promote bilateral coordination by appropriate agencies in multilateral and international fora on technical regulations, conformity assessment procedures and standards;
