Transportation Shift Assignments. Recognizing that personnel in the transportation unit present special shift problems, the parties agree that shifts shall be established in that unit in relation to runs, route packages and driving times requisite to fulfilling tasks assigned by a transportation administrator. Thirty (30) minutes of paid time will be scheduled into runs and route packages for drivers to conduct a 15-minute pre-trip and a 15-minute post-trip inspection and activities that are required by Bethel School District and the provision of the WAC 392-145. If a bus has been shut down for more than one (1) hour, 10 minutes of paid time will be scheduled for a safety inspection before it is driven. The District agrees that if there are sixty (60) minutes or less between assignments, the employee shall receive compensation for a minimum of thirty (30) minutes. If there are thirty (30) minutes or less between assignments, the base hourly rate shall continue uninterrupted.
